This is a beautiful little park lots of nice things to do. I would recommend reserving a cabin in advance in order to enjoy your experience fully. Lots of beautiful nature and lots of really nice walking trails. They also have several different water activities available too add at a small additional charge. Great place for a little weekend getaway.

We visited Wall Doxey recently. We struggled to see the roads and sites because of leaves that are left lay. Backing into our site was a real task. Their staff has been reduced to the point that they do not have people to properly maintain this gem of a park!

Our group has camped in our RVs for many years. This park has always remained a favorite for all the outdoor feeling. Always available to see the old lodge built many many years ago.

We stayed in a cabin here and it was absolutely charming! A screened in front porch, a fireplace in which to build a roaring fire (how great to wake up and lie abed drinking coffee, watching the fire), and the privacy made for a great stay! This needs to be on Trip Advisor with Accommodations, not just Attractions (and the Holly Springs motels reviews were only mediocre)!

This park is about a 35 min drive from Oxford. Wall Doxey has a lake with a swimming area and a nice trail (about 2.5 miles) that goes around the lake. Lots of picnic tables and pretty pine woods. A good place to see the plants of north Mississippi.

Great park nice staff beautiful setting makes me want to go on a walk. Good boat ramp. Looks like the lake would have fish.reminds me of the resort in dirty dancing. Camping sites are not to close together

I had the pleasure of enjoying this state park via my brother who was the parks manager for years. Needless to say I visited with peace in mind and that's exactly what I got....Its so serene and a good place for family to enjoy a family outing!! We hiked, fished and there are some quaint cabins to enjoy the woody areas.. a beautiful place

This is a real nice park, with a little bit of everything that you might want to do outside. There is a small lake for canoeing and fishing, playgrounds for the youngsters with large pavilions nearby that have picnic tables. Hiking trails are abundant. The campground here is nice, with spacious sites under large trees, paved sites and grills, power and water, no sewer. However, beware of the poison ivy (oak or sumac) that is everywhere, we had to really watch our pups while camping! The showers could use some cosmetic work, and the laundry facilities were sadly in need of repair. This is a great park for day use, and with a little care, would be an excellent destination for some peace and quiet that's off the beaten path. We would stay again.

We stayed in a couple of the cabins here at Wall Doxey over the MLK weekend. We had cabins 3 & 10 for our group of 8. While completely different both were pretty good. Cabin 3 was a much older true cabin that had 3 full beds and 1 twin inside. It has two fire places one in the living room and one back in the bedroom areas which is two rooms with no door between for all of the beds. There is a screened in porch and a patio area out back with a grill and picnic table. The living room kitchen area is pretty small but with the porch area there was enough room for our group to hang out and eat play games etc. The #10 cabin is listed as a cottage. It's a single wide trailer with a front porch on it. It is quite a bit newer. It's nice and bright with a very small flat screen TV 13" mounted in the living room / kitchen. There is no fire place in this cabin but there is an outdoor area with picnic table and grill. The only issues we had were the hot water in the cottage shower was almost nonexistent. I believe it was the regulator in the shower that would not allow the hot water to make it to the shower as there was plenty in the kitchen. Our other was the place was covered in pine sol when we first got there. After wiping everything down and moping the floor with a wet mop we still had to leave every window open the first day to air the place out. We all decided at least we knew it had been cleaned. Overall the staff was friendly. We all enjoyed our time out there and planned to come back and play some Frisbee golf as they have a great course. We would not hesitate to stay again.

My boyfriend and I stayed in the primitive area of Wall Doxey State Park. We stayed two nights for $13.00 per night, which is an excellent deal. In Wall Doxey, campers have the option of staying in primitive areas (water included), developed areas (water & electric included), or cabins. The primitive area has 8-10 sites. Each site includes a water pump, a grill, and a fire pit. We stayed on the 4th and 5th of July, and we had the whole primitive area to ourselves on the 4th, with one other group coming on the 5th. It was very secluded. We were surrounded by a canopy of trees. The area was beautiful and we got the privacy we were looking for. There is one shower building in the whole campground. It's located in the developed site area, so we had to drive our car a minute to get there conveniently. The shower was a bit colder than we would've liked, but not unbearable. There are several areas for bathrooms. Our nearest bathroom was a 3 minute walk, and we were the furthest camp site in the primitive area. There's plenty of pavilions for picnics and barbecues. There's also a lake with some art-inspiring views. We had a funyak that we took on the lake. We also went on the nature hike around the lake. The hiking trail is mostly canopied, with occasional uphill and downhill treks. It took about an hour to complete. It was fun, picturesque, and just the right amount of exercise we were looking for.We loved our stay at Wall Doxey State Park and recommend it to anyone looking for a fun camping adventure.

My husband and I rented a CCC cabin at this park in the Spring 2013.The cabin was small but clean and well equipped. The loop where the cabin was situated was very private and adjacent to the fishing dock and a lot of birds. We enjoyed the cabin very much and would rent one again if we go back in that part of Mississippi.
