I have been here at least once a year usually around Christmas for several years as a family tradition. The cafe has great food and there is a really nice gift shop. They offer free tastings of their wines as well. If you go, don't miss the Christmas cabins a couple miles down the road owned by the same folks! They have every sort of ornament you can think of, fresh trees and wreaths, candies, and other Christmas items. I believe the cabins are open from September until January 1st. The winery is open all year and in warmer weather they feature musicians and outdoor dining. It is in a beautiful wooded area close to the Mississippi river. Don't miss it!

The scenic view to get to the winery was delightful and the gift shop at the winery had unique items. We enjoyed the diverse selection of food in the cafe and the selectons of wine. The motto for the winery is "Come as a customer. Leave as a friend." If this is how the "crew" treats their friends, then I would hate to be their enemy. My apologies to the grey haired lady and the slim man on the "crew", since you are not included in this surly bunch. The crew was curt, not pleasant, and seemed to be bothered that we were there. The woman at the "tasting' checked us out at the register, did not wrap individual bottles of wine when she put them in the same bag, and did not thank us for buying lunch, gifts and wine. We would not go back, because the "crew" was so rude.

River Ridge Winery offers wine tastings, a small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, a covered pavilion where live music can be heard, and lots of atmosphere. The scenery was beautiful and the staff could not have been more friendly. Thanks for a great afternoon!

We enjoy going here for the food and music, but unfortunately I do not like the wine-at all.

This small winery has a good restaurant and in the summer months you can hear good local music on the weekends. They have a covered pavillion and lots of seating there or outside. There is also a small gift shop and a few tables where you can eat inside. During the summer, it can get rather hot and humid in this area. Local blues musician Bruce Zimmerman plays here a lot and he is great-go hear him!
