This is so very relaxing and not expensive for tube rental and transportation. Or bring your own tube. float about an hour to the take out point marked with big sign on river bank. Don't miss it its another 5 miles or such to take out and not included in fees. get out get on shuttle it takes u back to the start to go again as many times as u like until closing time. It was soooo much fun if u just want to relax and not fight the current in a canoe or such. Wear shoes large river rocks are hard on the feet. Had a wonderful time intend to return next year. They have a nice gift shop, food, camping, cabins and hotel all right there.

Just came back from another awesome weekend! I was impressed with how clean the bathrooms and showers were, especially since this was the MOST crowded I've ever seen this place. There had to be at least a thousand campsites rented. Each time we visited the showers and restrooms, there was a cleaning lady using bleach to sanitize the facilities. It cost $11 per night for a tent campsite (no electric). Our campsite (1110) was very clean. We always get the family area because it's quieter than the party area. The only complaint I had is with all the people driving in front of our tent, we got a little dusty. Most people had enough courtesy to drive slowly and watch for children playing BUT there were many people driving too fast and nobody to stop them this time.We had 3 adults floating in a canoe, cost was around $75. Beautiful 9 mile float but again, this time, for some reason, there had to be thousands floating! Fun but maybe a little too crowded. We had a few problems trying to navigate around people who were too drunk to move. lol The river banks were too crowded to find a spot to pull over and chill. We purchased our fishing license for this weekend but with it being so crowded, there'd be no fishing. Ah well... we'll just need to probably camp during the week day and not a busy weekend next time. We've used Ozark Outdoors since they've been in business and have never seen it this crowded. That being said, the owner and workers had things running organized and under control. The store was well stocked and very clean. They even offered complimentary coffee for those of us who didn't bring our own :-)We decided to not bring the usual camp food this time and only brought snacks. They offer big breakfasts and dinners at the little restaurant near the store. The breakfast was delicious! Unfortunately, they had people call in sick on this busy weekend and they were only able to offer frozen chicken strips, hamburgers and hot dogs for dinner. They had pizza already prepared so we ordered that. $16.99 for a pretty big pizza. It wasn't great but it fed the 3 of us. Usually they deliver pizza's to the campsites but there were only 2 people who showed up to work so they couldn't deliver this weekend. We overheard a lot of people complaining about the food but we were happy to not have to cook after a day of drinking and sunburns on the river :-)

very nice quiet place, friendly people. Was booked in the late nite section, but was moved to the quiet section as they booked a hugh party. This was ok with us.Except considering the location far away from the office we would like to see a playgroud down there for small children. It was quiet a walk to the one they had.All in all very pleasant time.Place well kept and clean.

Just took my first float trip (at age 51) with my Parrot Head club the weekend of Aug 9-11, 2013 and was very happy with the experience. We were not able to float on the Meremec River due to the extensive flooding and dangerous conditions, but had a great float on a side creek. A couple of snafu's but were quickly handled. Chalet was great - plenty of room to spread out, nice kitchen, ample bathrooms - all in all a great set up for a large group or a couple of families.

Love going here to float. Lots of camp grounds if you want. I don't camp so I rent a motel room there. Very clean and affordable. They have cabins too. On a weekday it is only around $55.00. They have a great general store with everything you might need. People are very friendly and you get free coffee in the morning at the store. The floats are great from kayaking to canoe, rafts, and tubes. Great place for kids too. They even have a pool on site. Make sure you check out this place!!

This is so much fun, and well maintained! We go every year with friends and we absolutely love it. I don't camp (I don't like bugs!) but I love to go kayaking and they have a great floating experience for all levels!

We bring our family here for a camping/float trip weekend at least once a year. It NEVER disappoints! There are scenic tent campsites as well as electric hookups for motor homes and campers. I love that they have clean showers and rest rooms. There's a very nice pools for the kids right along side the huge gift store! If you don't want to camp, they now have a hotel building and several really nice little and big cabins. If you're bringing your family, be sure to ask for the family sites. They're quieter and nicer than the "party" sites that are set up for the people who just want to party. A lot of times, they offer a band that plays during the weekend. The fishing is pretty great on the Meramac River too!
