Took our 5 and 7 year old granddaughters to the elk ranch based on a neighbors recommendation. May not look like much when you arrive at the office but the tour which takes place on a large wagon pulled by a tractor, takes you through acres of land full of elk. Even very young children can feed them food provided by the ranch. The tractor driver was entertaining and very informative. We will go again this summer. This is a must when you visit Ludington, Michigan.

We have done this tour several times and enjoyed it. It is a little overpriced for a 45 minute tour, though. We always love when we go through the gates and the elk come right up to the wagon. Best time to visit is spring or right when they open for the season. It is best to call ahead because tours are only given at certain times.

Found this little gem about 6 years ago while looking for places to take our very young kids at the time. It is such a great place and the atmosphere is relaxing and you learn all about one of God's creatures. My kids love going every year and getting to feed the elk.
