My wife and I play this course many many times every summer and never get tired of playing it. It's a Jerry Matthews design and it's a great one. Combination of woods, links style and water holes. You won't be disappointed playing here! Conditions have been very good last couple years!!

Conditions were superb. Very tight, challenging course from the tips. There is some relief when short par 4's come into play. Par 5's and 3's are challenging. Scenic course, excellent staff, and the pace was outstanding.

Beautifully set and maintained course. Really enjoyed the challenging holes! Would definitely play again!

My 3 co-workers and I had booked an 8:06 AM tee time for Saturday, May 10th (2014), specificying that we would like to play the back 9 holes only. When I called in to make the reservation, the man taking the reservation expressed no concern with my request. However, when we arrived Saturday AM, we were told that there was no note specifying that we wanted to play the back 9 and, that they had a tournament going on, and we would have to play the front 9. We agreed, payed our $25/pp greens fees, and drove over to the empty first tee at 7:40 AM. No one was on the course. As we prepared to tee off, an employee walked over to us on the first tee and told us that we must wait for our 8:06 AM tee time. So I guess we were supposed to just stand on the empty first tee for half an hour waiting for our tee time to arrive? With that, I walked over to the club house and indicated that we wouild like our money back. The employee refunded our money, but offered no apology for the fact that they had mis-handled our reservation, and neglected to tell us that they had a tournament going on that day. I am making a vow never to return to Heritage Glen, as I have been there 4 or 5 times and NEVER found them to be with friendly or in any way accommodating.

like they say about a house with possibilities, this course has them. first played in the fall, with colors and it was gorgeous. Didn't notice the traps, and the greens were good. after reading the reviews paid close attention yesterday. traps in fairways needed work, close to green were pretty good. greens were good for so early in the year. the topography , bridges, water, all made this course better then most in the area. no bartender on duty, but rest of staff was up to par.

Do you enjoy 6 hour rounds? Do you like being treated by garbage by rangers and pro-shop employees? Do you love putting on cracked dirt greens? If so, then Heritage Glen is for you!I can speak for myself, and all of my serious golfing buddies...we will never play this course again. I went to this course to see if it would be a place that we could hold our company golf outing, and I'm very glad I went out there first because the experience was terrible. From the first tee, my two-some was behind a 4-some of golfers who told us from the start that they never play golf and they aren't very good. Being polite, my partner and I said "no problem, enjoy yourselves, we can always play through you." However, that NEVER happened. Each member of the 4-some in front of us proceeded to hit 2 balls for most of their shots, playing at an excruciating pace. We were on the tee-box with them for every hole, and they simply refused to let us play through. After the ranger came out the situation did not improve. The ranger told us that he "didn't know what to do". I suggested that he should do what a ranger is supposed to do, encourage pace of play and tell the group to let us through, or allow my 2-some to skip a hole ahead. The ranger did not let us do any of that. There was no one behind us for 3 holes, and no one in front of the slow 4-some for 3 holes. The situation made no sense at all. The ranger came out 3 times and yet still would not allow us to play through or skip ahead. As serious players, my partner and I had nothing better to do and wanted to see each hole of the course, so we stuck it out as long as we could, laughing to ourselves that we've never seen a course run so poorly. After 15 holes and 5 HOURS, we couldn't handle it anymore. The group in-front of us were becoming hostile and we had had enough, so we drove off the course, quitting our 6 hour round early. All in all, if you value your time on the golf course, give your money to another course. There are plenty of beautiful West Michigan courses, and for what Heritage Glen charges, you can have a top-notch experience at a much nicer course for half the price.PS - Upon doing more research, I found that almost every one of my golfing buddies has had a similar experience at Heritage Glen. So I feel safe stating that what happened to us was not an isolated incident. I am not the type of person that enjoys bad reviews, but our experience was so unbelievable that I felt it warranted warning other serious golfers that they should probably avoid this course.

I've played league out there for 7 years. They do a real crappy job on up keep. No sand in the bunkers its more like pea gravel and river rock. So bring a old sand wedge because you will damage your club. The greens look like they have a disease and the tee boxes all look like a beaver ate them. They charge $50 for 18 what a rip off go it Island Hills if you want to see a true $50 course best around. Heritage charges $1700 for a membership with leagues not included highest around and by far not the nicest. Go to Thornapple its $1200 for membership and league is included better coirse

Played Heritage Glen Golf Club in September 2012. The course was in nice condition. The staff were helpful and friendly. This is an 18-hole course that measures 6622-yards with a rating of 72,5/137 from the blues, 6049-yards - rating 69.9/129 from the whites. There is also gold and red tees. A challenging course that was enjoyable to play. There is water on some holes.
