The Meadows at Grand Valley is ANYTHING but flat and unexciting. The course is mostly a links layout and is tough and challenging. It is ranked as one of the better golf courses in the state. The greens are fast and undulating. You need to think about your shot selection in playing this golf course. I have played many golf courses in Michigan and I always enjoy playing the Meadows. It offers a very challenging blue set of tees and if you use the black tees you are in a different zip code. The grounds crew keeps the Meadows in great shape and the staff is beyond excellent in meeting your needs. I have been to several scrambles at the Meadows and they have always been well organized and have accommodated my needs every time.

The Meadows is the best course in West Michigan, in my opinion. It is almost always in great shape, and well maintained. It is a tough course, especially later in the Summer after the Heather is grown. Play it earlier in the Spring if you're looking to shoot a good score.

A links course attached to the Grand Valley State University. Challenging holes with a beautiful, stately club house. Super-helpful staff make sure your visit is pleasant and memorable.

Tough course, but worth the challenge. Our foursome was all single digit handicaps and all of us shot in the 90's. We played the course the day before the DII Men's National Championship and it was windy.Keep up your pace of play or the starter will put you on the clock.Bring extra balls as well!

Played ths course for the first time during August 2012. The course is extremely well maintained. It is fairly open and flat. It is a real challenge. From the tips (black) it plays 7078-yards with a rating of 74.2/133. Blue tees 6370 with a rating of 70.8/130 and from the white tees 5870 with a rating of 68.4/121. Located on the campus of Grand Valley State University. Worth going out of your way to play this beautiful course.

It is a pretty open course, which gives nature a little advantage on some of the more open holes. That makes it a little tougher & brings you back to try it again. Condition was very nice when I was there.

The Meadows is flat and unexciting. Primary challenge is t stay out of the bogs. It is really nice course considering it belongs to a Division II university. But it isn't destination golf.

Our company holds our golf league here and I greatly enjoy golfing here, however the only way I can enjoy it is as part of a scramble. Hole 18 is NOT friendly to women unless you are a "pro". :) Still, I send my children to GVSU's golf camp and they have the pleasure of utilizing the course as well. Very nice, well maintained course!

The Meadows at Grand Valley State University is one of Michigan's best-maintained golf courses. On the campus of GVSU, this course is open from early spring to late fall, and tee times are readily available for the public.Call ahead as NCAA tournaments can occupy the course for days at a time, but it's worth the trip to play a course that's always kept in prime tournament conditions.

Nice golf course for the price. Always well maintained.

We were visiting the Lake Michigan shore in SW Michigan and looking for nice golf courses. There were some older courses that were affordable (South Haven), but not too exciting and some very nice courses with high price tags (Ravines). We were told to try The Meadows. It was a Hurdson links style design so we thought it might be nice and the price was nice also. It was inland, a little out of our way (1/2 hr from Holland & Grand Haven), but well worth the drive. It was well manicured and challenging. The service was great, too.
