My partner and I have been frequent Bar Louie patrons as they have a very good happy hour, good mixed drinks, and a good beer selection. The food was always pretty good and the service was what one would expect. More recently however, the quality has been declining in several respects. First, the service has been steadily getting worse. Usually there appear to be sufficient staff, but some staff seem to only be present for taking food out and most of the waitresses spend more time talking to each other at the bar then they do checking on their tables. It has not been uncommon to wait 15-20 minutes before getting an order placed, even during the daytime. Second, the food quality has been getting worse. It is becoming more common to have very greasy food (such that the grease pools at the bottom making everything soggy), over cooked food (such as the soft pretzels being burnt), or a sloppily put together meal (such that the cheese is only on half the burger, or a quesadilla not folded in half). While we still eat here on occasion, these issues have caused us to find other avenues for our happy hour business to help change things up. Bar Louie is still a good place to eat, but not as good as it was a few years ago.

This is a food place to meet clients or friends as the atmosphere is both casual and upscale. There are several TV's to catch sport highlights near the bar. They have a large variety of draft beers. The menu is casual bar finger food but offer some variety such as flatbreads and a California Chicken Club with fresh avocado.
