sharkey's riverfront tavern

I saw someone review negatively about the variety. I found it to be quite excellent for bar food.They have things from shrimp and crab cake po boys (I got - it was good) and pizza to sandwiches and burgers.I mean, don't expect fine dinning, you're at a bar.The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. We sat outside which afforded a nice view of the Detroit River (actually a straight) and the bridge opening. (note: there is a big pile of coal involved in the view, but that didn't bother me any, actually)Service was mostly good but I never got my water refilled the whole time I was there, which is disappointing. The food was better then average bar / burger place food.They seem to have a lot of drink specials. I will have to come back and review just the bar side of things before too long.Also note- this is a restaurant / bar, not an attraction.

Great food, good service and a fair price. The view from the dining room was good. You can see the golf course and have a nice view of the river and Free Bridge. When the weather warms the outdoor tables looked inviting. Great menu with a lot of choices. Everyone in our party of seven was pleased with their meal. We will be back for more!

Lived downriver for over 14 yrs and just recently found this place. I love it, its on the water. I hear they have a bloody mary bar on weekends but have not tried it yet. We ate here a lot during the summer. Food is good but little over priced. Needs a bigger variety also
