This place is the gathering place for everything that happens in the Downtown area. It hosts concerts, art fairs, Tall Ship Celebrations, car shows, fireworks festivals, and many other civic events in Bay City. It is adjacent to the riverwalk on the east side of the Saginaw River and makes a wonderful place to just come and relax after an event or dinner.

This is a great little park down at the river's edge...boats traveling up and down the Saginaw River makes for a nice quite place most days. Concerts in the park during the summer are always a lot of fun and we go to as many as we can. Restaurants near by as well for a quick bite. Many opportunities for sailing one of the sail boats in the harbor. Some are dinner cruises which are really nice. I would recommend visitors check this park out on your next visit.

Bay City Three Day Fireworks festival. Classy and organized. Bands were good, food options and people friendly.

I hadn't visited Bay City in many years, so I wanted to visit this area. The views are very nice, and I'm sure it is a pleasant place for the events other reviewers mentioned. When we arrived on Memorial Day, we found it was not very inviting. The grass needed mowing, there was no water in the pool, and the restrooms were not open. It just seemed it should have been better prepared for the holiday and the start of summer.

Free summer concerts, fireworks, Santa's arrival, amazing views and awesome people watching. Who could ask for a better city park? Wednesday's in the park summer concerts are a must. This park is one of the reasons that summer in Bay City are amazing. Not to mention all of the great restaurants and shopping within walking distance... Downtown Bay City is top notch.

This is a great place to visit. It is located at the foot of downtown Bay City right on the Saginaw River. Many concerts and art fairs take place during the summer. But don't be fooled, spring and fall are great as well. You will find many restaurants that are good and within walking distance. Don't hesitate to visit.

This is a good place to go for a jog and get some fresh air in the morning. It's also near downtown Bay City where there are tons of great restaurants.

Saturday Night... THE PROM. Young ladies dressed in frilly short dresses with impossibly high heels teetering along the walk, their escorts all duded up in their finery meeting & greeting each other. Wow don't we clean up GOOD??? Maybe it was homecoming, but the fluffy outfits were still cute & I'm glad I'm not young anymore. My feet couldn't STAND that torture! The Park draws everybody. Fancy to freaky, young to old & they enjoy the luxury of a great place to kick back, take pictures & be glad they are here.

A well planned and constructed area good for many uses. Bay City did well by reclaiming old industrial land.

This park sure brings out the beauty of Bay City~peaceful, clean and a great place for kids to run.You could bring a lunch and spend an afternoon enjoying a beautiful day.The water is not for swimming or fishing, but pretty from a far.

We have attended several events at this park over the years and wanted to say it is a nice place to have a picnic. There are free concerts in the park through out summer; the flowers and the grass are kept up very well. Bathrooms. You may have to park on the downtown streets, as parking is somewhat limited. We enjoyed a stroll thru the park on a Thursday afternoon and it was very quiet. Great views of the river, boat traffic, and the rail trail/walking path on the other side of the river. Also is a great place to view the 4th of July fireworks, but get there very early to claim a spot.

We attended the Tall Ship celebration and Sea Shanty festival here and it was a blast. Ships moored along the river walk of the park and were readily accessible. park is in downtown area of Bay City and near many restaurants.

Downtown, east side. Grab some lunch, check local shops then check out the park. Free concerts on Wed. During the summer. A childrens event during the day then back for 6pm for more activity. Bring a blanket or chair. Picnic basket. Fun. Check out local boats docked.

I am disappointed that the Friendship circle has no water in the fountain frequently unless they are trying to impress with an event. I have seen Kids sitting in the circle when there is no water. Not only is it a danger it is also disrespectful to those who love this city.

I live in this area, and have been been many times. It is a fairly small area within walking distance of downtown and quite nice. It is just what it seems...... a nice little park, quiet and peaceful and nice to walk around or just sit and watch the river and its traffic.During the nicer weather, various concerts and events are held here, and many people attend. To get these schedules, I imagine searching on the city online would get take care of it. Or one could call the Tourist Bureau and find out more.Is it something that I would plan a trip around? No, but if in town, definitely a nice place to walk to and relax.
