We went with a group of 11, one of them being my grandmother-in-law. Because it was January and they were redoing part of the wine cellar the elevator was not in working order and the only way down was a winding spiral staircase which the grandma-in-law couldn't do. The nice folks brought her a glass of wine and a large cheese and cracker spread with chutney and the fixings. They really made a great impression on us all, plus the tour was extremely informative and entertaining with a wide variety of samplings throughout. We will visit again in the warmer months to venture into the vineyards. Highly recommended!

I recently visited the winery with my family and we all loved it. The kids loved the winery tour riding through the wines fields, picking grapes and learning about the wine making process. Doug the owner was very courteous and made us feel like VIP guest. Friendly people and a great inexpensive visit next to the lakeshore.Craig J

Their is somethin for everyone in the tastings. I would suggest branching out of you're normal for this winery. I was so glad I did, ended up with two bottles I would have never picked off a piece of paper. The staff is friendly at both the satellite and the main locations!

We went wine tasting and had a great time. They have a lot of different kinds of wine so you will find something you like.

Fenn Valley has public wagon tours, but you can also rent a tractor-driven wagon for a private tour of up to 20 people, and my husband did this as a birthday gift to me, with 10 friends. On a sparkling fall day, we learned about the challenges of grape-growing in Michigan and sampled about eight wines (the nozzles are calibrated to give everyone about three sips to taste). Some were surprisingly good, and less sweet than I had feared. The tour lasted over 90 minutes and was informative and lively. Nearly all of us bought wines at the shop at the end of the tour. Fenn Valley also has several wine pairing dinners a year, bringing in chefs for multi-course meals. These are very popular and sell out quickly. The winery's web site is a good source of information. If you can't make it to the winery, there is a nice tasting room in downtown Saugatuck on Butler Street that is open all year.

Wonderful wines. I prefer sweet wines. Especially enjoyed the cherry wine and the Ice wine. The setting around the building is very colorful and appealing. Spent time just being in the moment and looking at the beauty all around.

The place is so beautiful and the people so welcoming that every time I'm in Michigan visiting my family, I must visit the winery. The owner, Doug, sure knows everything about wine and it's a great learning experience. I can go on and on and on but you should see for yourself and please do the tour if you're there (it's so worth it!). Check to see the events they are having with live music, chili cook off...dinners... It's awesome! My husband and I and our families are big fans now! Thank you Fenn Valley :)

one of the better michigan wineries i have been to. very nicely laid out. nice spread out wine tasting area too. nominal charge for the tasting but you get that back when you buy some wine. bought 8 bottles which to us kind of means we liked them. always hate when you go to a place and walk out with nothing because nothing appeals to you...well it wont happen here. great variety to fit anyones tastes. come taste and buy.

The tour was wonderful! We learned so much and really enjoyed seeing where the grapes came from and what care was taken in making the wine. It is a beautiful setting and Doug was a great tour guide. We thought his presentation was knowledgable, humorous and very tasty! I would highly recommend this to anyone and we WILL be back!

My mom and I stopped at Fenn Valley Vineyards this past weekend. We got to try 2 wines for free, but you could try 7 for $5. They have many wines, so if you choose to pay, you could try quite a few. There were wines printed on both sides of the sheet that we were handed. We like different kinds of wines, but my mom and I were both able to find a favorite and make purchases. You can also purchase online, which will be nice when I run out of what I bought. It was busy, but they had plenty of people working the tastings and plenty of room for that beautiful fall day - seemed like everyone was out visiting the wineries. This place is worth the stop.

On a recent vacation to Michigan we decided to bring back some Michigan wine for family and friends. Upon seeing the Fenn Valley Winery sign on the Interstate we decided to stop there. We loved the beautiful countryside on the way to the winery. There was plenty of parking at the winery. Everything was clean and well kept. Inside there were several wines to chose from, as well as a chance for wine tasting. All the staff we came in contact with were helpful and friendly. This stop was well worth our time in many ways.

We took the wine tour on the wagon that goes into the vineyard. Our guide was great and told us so much about the wine business and growing the grapes. We tasted 11 different wines while we drove around in the vineyard. What a wonderful way to spend almost 2 hours! At the end of the tour we got to keep our glasses. We also got a coupon for $5 off 4 bottles of wine. The tasting room was very crowded and hard to get up to the bar. It is a good idea to make reservations for the wine tour on line. The Saturday that we were there all the tours were sold out. Cost of the tour was $8 but worth it.

This is a great stop for an afternoon. Staff friendly. Two free tastes and then an additional five dollars if you want more tastes. There is a tour of the vineyards on a wagon that holds twenty people. The cost if $8 and includes a tour that takes an hour and a half and sampling over ten wines. I think reservations are a must as they only do a few tours a day. Our driver was OK but suggest you ask if the owner will be doing any tours as that would be better. The wines for sale are in line with most wineries so don't expect great deals.

Our host was knowledgeable, a little matter of fact, but warmed up towards the end. My sister tasted 6 wines if you buy 4 bottles of wine your tasting is free. It cost $6. The grounds are very pretty. We strolled out to the grape vines to talk pics. You can take ap tour as well! Wine was ok!

Amazing wine tasting tour actually in the vineyards done by th owner of the vineyard. You would not want to be in a hurry as it last almost 2 hours. We tasted 11 wines and learned a great deal about the wine industry. If you are smart, you will make reservations for,the tour before you arrive as they are often sold out due to popularity. The cost was only $8/person and you received a free wine glass and a coupon
