If you can find a parking spot you'll enjoy the market. It gets very crowded in the summer. Go early.

So glad I was taken there by a great friend.. Now we try to go at least twice a month. I'm into preserving as much veggies as I can, the fruits & veggies are extremly reasonable & good quality. The homemade pretzels are a nice treat to eat as you walk around. They have something for everyone. Can't wait till next spring to get my veggie plants.

A lot of local farmers bring in goods. The bigger stands are bringing cases of produce that would be found in supermarkets and there prices are good but some of it is imported. The amish here are as real as your going to find in this county. My favorites in the main building are the potato and egg farmer, the french fry stand, and the pretzel stand that makes ham and cheese pretzels & fresh lemonade. On the side by the oldmill u will find the best mexican food trailer i have ever eatin at. On the opposing side there is a nursery with the best plants at a great price. In the addition on the old Bowling alley there is a kitchen wears vendor i frequent. Some junk vendors and chinese $1 boxs (which aint a dollar no more)

If you like Farmers Markets and love Bargains, then this is the place for you.Open every Wednesday, year round. Most under roof with plenty of parking. Make sure you save room for Samples, snacks and food.Prices are great, and if you don't find it here, they don't make it.

Referred to by the locals as the Hometown Auction. Why ? Have no idea, other than they may have had auctions there in the past. In any event, to get there, travel south on state road 309 from the Hazleton area. Once in the Tamaqua area, at the intersection you will see a rent a center and the Beacon Diner. This is rt. 54, turn right and about one mile on your left is the hometown farmers market. It is open year round on Wednesday only from early morning till late or until vendors sell out their items. The main draw here the huge selection of farm grown fruits and vegetables from the local farms. I do not think you will find any fresher fruits and produce anywhere. Also fresh cut flowers, plants, and of course fresh baked goodies. The Amish have a number of stands there, and the fresh baked shoo fly pies and sweet frosted buns to name a couple are in ample supply. Besides the fresh foods, there are vendors with clothes, antiques, home crafted furniture and just about anything you would find at a flea market. I am in awe at the huge selection of fruits and vegetables and baked goods. Even if you are not out to buy anything, maybe a tourist, it is a worthwhile visit to see the wonderful selection of truly fresh food. I hope my travels to the Hazleton area is over a Wednesday, so I can go down and admire the hometown farmers market.

This is a farmers market with all sorts of stands selling "you name it" This place is open Wednesdays only and is open all year. In cold weather they have a huge building you can walk through to eat and shop. In the summer there is much more stands outdoors. There is plenty of off street free parking which is a plus. You can park close so you don't have to walk far.

Some good prepared food choices, fresh produce. Hot, crowded, and LOTS of junk. It's not for everyone!

I look forward to Wednesday's knowing that it is Farmer's Market Day. This place is huge with indoor and outdoor vendors. You can find all kinds of unique items here and I love it. From clothing to produce you will find something so dont forget your wallet. The only issue is that sometimes it is a challenge to find a parking spot, this place gets packed.

Lots of good quality fresh produce The best hand twisted soft pretzels in several flavors. Homemade Shoe fly pie, breads, rolls. Great Italian food vendor, I had the stuffed mushrooms. Loved the handmade soap , cheap deal on car mats, sun dress and fresh fruit and vegetables. Well worth my time since most vendors like to haggle which increases the fun!
