I really like this place . Along with great running and walking trails. Great educational resources . There are several great fishing spots in and all around the park . There is an education center and a great place to ride your bike and walk your dogs. The issue many people don't keep their dogs properly leashed and can lead to incidents . For you geocachers there are many hidden along the trail.

Wonderful location to walk paths and enjoy nature. Many ride horses in the area and mountain bikes. Look for great events through Spring to Fall. There is at least one enactment camp every year. Great spot for Boy and Girl Scouts and bird watching. Easy access from Nazareth and Rt 33.

I live about a mile from this park and love to mountain bike here. The visitor center was a huge waste of tax payer's money. It is never open when I visit (at many different times/days) and they don't have many options of activities/classes, etc. That being said, it is a great-looking building. I just never get to see the inside since it closed most of the time. Enough about that. The outside is what really counts. The bike trails are great for the area and I love that I don't have to load my bike onto my car. I can literaly just ride my bike to Jacobsburg SP. My kids love to play in the stream in the summer, which is a great free activity to beat the heat. There are restrooms located across the bridge near the parking area off Belfast Rd. If you park near the Bolton area (off Henry Rd), there are pit toilets. If you ride horses, mountain bike, or just love to hike, this park is for you.

I love going to this park. It is a wonderful get away from the everyday hustle and bustle of life. I great aspect of it is you can pick your intensity. There are really easy trails and some that are a bit more challenging. I loved coming here as a child and I still love it as an adult. Best of all, its free.

My husband and I have been going to Jacobsburg State Park for over 15 years. We would go there to mountain bike, hike and now that we adopted a dog 4 months ago we go there to walk with the dog. I do have to warn you that some of the areas that you walk off the main parking lot are steep. We actually had to carry our rather large elderly dog up some steps and an incline.. SO it might be a good idea to find your walking path first without your dog if he is older or has limitations. For mountain biking there are easy rides and some challenging ones. My husband had some maps so we would try different trails. A lot of times the map box at the visitors center is empty so I suggest checking a site like the one I am attaching here to help you with your walks or ride.http://www.everytrail.com/best/hiking-jacobsburg-state-park It can get very muddy there and since a lot of the area is under full brush it is rather cool on the trails and along the water. I love seeing the horses on the trail. There are markers on the trail so you know which one to be on if your hiking, biking or riding a horse. There are a few different lots that you can park and start at and some little cut outs also. Again I would refer to a map if you have not been there before.Bathrooms are very clean but watch when the horses drop on the paths, that's not always cleaned up..These pictures were taken in October. Enjoy!!!

Stay away from here. When I first started coming her 25 years ago, not many people knew about it and it was quiet. It is still spectacularly beautiful but now many more people visit. So stay away, I would like to keep this beautiful jewel private.Just joking, come if you want. Nice trails with varying degrees of difficulty, but none that are too hard.

Interesting and fun hiking area not to difficult to handle. Restroom facilities are well kept. Hiking along the creek os the way to go. Best time is during Fall Foliage.

The park was nice and good to walk with the kids. The only negative was there was horse poop all over the walking trails.

We were planning a trip in the area, and I was looking for a park to take a break to picnic, and found this place. When we got there, it was a great treat. We picnic lunched under a covered area, used watered collected from the rain, that was cool! We then stopped by the recently built conservation center, which is specific to educational training for school and such, so the facilities there were nice and clean, and with a map in hand we went to a neat trail that took us around 45 min, one of the shorter trails, and was treated with beautiful flora and streams. If I had a horse I would have loved to use these trails. It's quite extensive. There's trout fishing there as well. Thank goodness for state parks, especially in PA, my home state. They are clean and with no charge. Highly recommend. Look forward to returning to experience new trails.

Great place for a family hike or to walk the dog. Excellent place for snowshoeing or cross country skiing if the weather is right. The creek is a nice place to just relax.

Jacobsburg State Park is located off of route 33 Belfast Exit. From the South Turn right at the Stop sign and then a left where the road ends. The parking lot is on the left about half mile down the road. There are some lovely loop trails. Can walk along the Buskill river which is stocked fill Trout. When you exit the parking lot turn right follow the road straight until it comes to Sullivan Trail. Right on the corner is Fuel Cell. They have a small take out and little outdoor area where you can eat your food. It has great hamburgers, large portions and very reasonable prices! Great way to spend the afternoon. Oh and at the beginning of the trail there are two heated bathrooms that are cleaned daily!

Jacobsburg State Park is a truly lovely place. I live nearby and it has always been my favorite place to walk. There are various places to park to enter the park. The trails are well maintained and many are very easy to do. There are some harder trails for those able to do them. I love skipping rock into the creek--brings back memories of going here as a child. There is also are horseback riding trails and a large parking area for your trailer and tow vehicle. We have passed many people on mountain bikes too. There is fishing but we have never gotten to much. That doesn't really matter because it is just a beautiful place to take in nature. If you need to relax this is the place!
