it was a very snowy sunday - we had a tasting and a tapas lunch. Staff was pleasant, but not overly. It was a ok experience, but i have had better. maybe it was an off day. We also went into the pie shop - the staff there was very fun. Pies were excellent!

Great as always, I stopped there on my way to Harrisburg for an interview and tasted some amazing wines and ended up spending more than I should of.. oops!

This is a charming, beautiful winery in an out of the way place. I live in the area and have visited here frequently, often with out of town guests. I always leave with several bottles but only because I am somewhat familiar with the choices. The "taste limit" thing is off putting though. My friends and I make a hobby out of visiting wineries, both here at home and in our travels. This one is the stingiest. I cannot purchase wines, or even enjoy the taste and compare experience, based on 3 tastes! I wouldn't mind paying for more. I hate saying this about local folks but the employee helpfulness and friendliness is hit or miss. My niece and I were Christmas shopping and stopped here in mid December. The tasting room was almost empty. We went up to the tasting bar and were ignored by the bartender. I eventually spoke up and said we would like to taste at which point she seemed annoyed and sat a single glass in front of me. I then said "what about her?" as she had completely ignored my niece. She then pulled out another glass. Then I had to ask for the wine list and ask for a pencil. On this visit, its like we had to beg for even the miserly 3 tastes!Having said that, I still have to rate this local reasure with at least a 4 based on the quality of the wines, the beautiful setting, talented entertainment, and often good service.

I was amazed by how lovely this winery is! The women working that day were so nice and friendly. And the wine is DELICIOUS! I wish I had bought more than one bottle. If I am ever in that area again I will definitely be making a trip back to Greendance.

Even though I was only there for maybe 20 minutes, I felt like I was at home. The ladies were extremely pleasant and went out of their way to help us find a nearby b&b. All their wines are great and the property is stunning. It was so nice of them to let us wander around and explore!
Griecheo
One of the prettier wineries in the southwestern Pennsylvania area and Greendance's wines do not disappoint either. Live entertainment in the warm weather season, a sunset amidst a provincial garden and pastoral farmland provide for a very romantic get-together for two or a beautiful gathering for an adult group. Their food pairings are unique and delectable. Please don't visit this area without planning a visit. You won't be disappointed!

Greendance is a charming winery with relaxing outdoor seating where you can have a glass of your favorite wine. The wine tasting was well organized and the server was helpful in suggesting options from their extensive wine list. Most are on the sweeter side, but the Cab and red blend are good if you prefer dry reds. They also have a fruit market and bakery on the grounds and a place to sit in the garden to enjoy a slice of homemade fruit pie, which was an unexpected and unique addition to our visit.

We live in ohio but my husband surprised me with a trip to the mountains and a stop at Greendance on the way. The scenery was beautiful. The wine tasted good, our service was good, and we really enjoyed our time here.

This winery has a beautiful landscape, but the wine is pretty bad. However to be fair, they only give you 3 complimentary pours to taste. They might have some good wine, but I didn't taste it. The Gewürztraminer was spicy but watery. The Noiret was bland and lacking in body. The Chambourcin was not great, but drinkable. Their wine tasting list was very long with no room for descriptions. For example, not everyone knows what a Vidal Blanc tastes like other than the fact that it's a semi-dry/sweet white wine. It's nice to know what flavors you're looking for in a tasting. Also, when I asked the woman at the counter if the Noiret wine was a varietal, she didn't seem to know what I was asking. My impression is that this winery knows they have a beautify landscape in scenic western PA and is trying to produce as many different wines as possible to bring people in. They seem more concerned with quantity than quality.

Been to many wineries, so have lots of experience. This is indeed a beautiful winery, but the employee who was giving out our samples of wine said we could only sample three (3) wines and those samples were so small, we could hardly taste it. She was rather rude to us. Oh well, they lost out on our business and we will never go back.

Very nice area for a winery. Got some great samples. Didn't push you into buying any wine. Would go back again.

Love the winery setup outside and inside. The outside of the winery is out in the middle of no where which is great, plus the setting of where you can sit and drink wine is beautiful. The wine sampling was up to 6 but that's only when it's on the weekend. When during the week and not busy then you can try what you want. Their wine has a different taste which is unique and good. I recommend anyone in the Mount Pleasant area to check out this unique winery.

Greendance has live music on weekends throughout the warm season of the year. The gardens are outstanding. The music choices are good. But the wines ... Wonderful! Such an awesome venue for hanging out with friends and enjoying the fresh air. I will come back again and again and again!

Sorry to hear your experience was not an enjoyable one, especially for such a happy celebration. We do have a picnic/outside food policy posted on our website and are always glad to speak over the phone and accommodate any special arrangements given enough notice. We have many private events and parties here that can be scheduled, but for something more low key and easy we would welcome a birthday cake as long as it follows our picnic policy. We hope you will visit us again and please do not hesitate to ask to see an owner anytime a problem arises. Thank you so much for your review - Greendance

It is saddening to hear your experience this past Friday Late Night was not an enjoyable one. It is an unfortunate necessity that we must search all bags for outside alcohol, by law we cannot allow such things on our property and it is always a problem we face, but we aim to have it be as little an inconvenience as possible for our customers - we apologize if you felt singled out in any way, such would never be our intent here. On late nights we give a soft message to all our customers in the gardens when it comes close to closing, but be assured we would never throw anyone out or express it in such a way, again our sincerest apologies. We will see that the employee you encountered be retrained on the high level of customer service we always aim for. Thank always for any input and hope you will visit us again -Greendance
