I have played some of my worst and best golf here, because several holes present unforgiving results to a poor first or second shot. The last three holes will extract most of your enthusiasm and energy if you do not play smart and keep the ball in play. A few years ago they commanded $120, but my last round was about $85. Discount tickets can be obtained to reduce the normal fare slightly, at select times each year. I find holes 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 9 both challenging and scenic. On the back nine, same goes for 11, 12, 14, 16 thru 18. That in itself says a lot. I'll return shortly with ample extra balls to drop!

I played Merion East on Monday and The Golf Course at Glen Mills on Tuesday. I knew all bout Merion East and nothing about Glen Mills other than from the web site. My wife and friends from Charlotte booked this course. It was absolutely beautiful and probably the best public course I have played. It is lush, beautiful creeks, hills and plenty of deer. Greens, tees and fairways were immaculate and plenty well maintained hazards. Course rangers kept everybody moving and enforced the tee time. When I return to the Philadelphia area again I would book this course!

We were there for a wedding. Very nice accommodations. We had the beef tenderloin and it was excellent. you could cut it with a fork. Good spot for a wedding.

This course is in magnificent condition. Greens are huge, undulating , speedy and true. Fairways are perfect. If you are off them by 2 feet your are in deep stuff. When calling in the staff said I could walk. I do not recommend that. after 6 holes I was in a cart.Some fairways are narrow. The Par 3's as a group are stunning. $95 is worth it. Thought it odd to pay extra for range balls (beat). range is grass. Practice area has trap. Shower facilities available. Overhead shower was awesome. Only complaint is the water coolers had mold in the spigot.

I've played some of the nicest courses in the country. Pebble, Torrey Pines, and if this course was on the ocean, I would take it every time.Great course!

I have dropped my membership at a private club in favor of playing at this wonderful golf course. I hesitate to even write this review. It is well-maintained and fun to play. I am extremely spoiled because I live within five minutes of the first tee.

The course is fantastic. Excellent layout and design. Immaculate upkeep. You will need to "think" your way around the course. You will not be disappointed.

Hands down the best public course in PA. I have played this course several times and each time it's like playing it for the first time. Beautiful scenery and challenging layout. You will live it.

This course is built on a beautiful piece of Property. It moves you through different elevations and gives great vistas. Built next to The Glenn Mills School which works with boys who need a second chance. A Great course with a great mission!

This is a beautifully laid out course with several challenging holes. The course was very well manicured, the greens are very fast. The clubhouse is very nice, clean and spacious. You can get good food at reasonable prices. One of the very best in the area.

I drove up to the Philly area from Raleigh to meet some friends to play a few rounds. Glen Mills had some good reviews so I was eager to play it. I am a 13 handicap & my friend that played w/ me that day says he normally shoots 120. The staff were all friendly & the course was in perfect shape. Greens rolled true. There was a lot of elevation which I like and I can't say anything bad about the place. I ended up shooting my lowest round to date (77). My friend had no problem playing the course as well. If you're in the area you really need to grab a tee time. I thought the $79 was a fair price for the course. I'll play it again if I'm ever in the Philly area again.SteveRaleigh, NCPlayed June 26, 2013

The course is awesome and challenging with a variety of tees for players of all levels. It is attached to a High school and is always in great shape as they use the course as training for the youth at the school. Even though I belong to a club, I play Glen Mills several times every year.. Note since attached to the school - limited food and bar facilities.

Spectacular course, always in great shape. I play there 2-3 times a year and I look forward to playing there each time. It does not disappoint. It is a little pricey but well worth it.
