One of my hobbies is tabletop gaming. As such, I've been to a lot of novelty stores which cater to that interest. Of the stores I've attended, Gatehouse Games is (in my opinion) among the best, and I believe that for many reasons, but the primary reason is because Tim (who is the owner) always provides good service, and he is also someone who will give you an honest opinion about a product -even if that honest opinion means he does not make a sale. I've been to plenty of stores which will sell you something without a second though; even if the quality of the product is poor. At Gatehouse Games, if you ask for an opinion, you will get one which is honest. It is also worth pointing out that Gatehouse Games has space within the store to play games. While it is not the largest gaming store I've been to, the space is arranged in such a way to provide plenty of room for a variety of games. In particular, there are some rather nice battlefields for Warhammer (and similar games) available. Even if you're not someone who is into games such as Magic: The Gathering, Warhammer, or GURPS, Gatehouse is still a great place to go to seek out something different. There are plenty of games available which range from casual in nature to hardcore, and, as such, there are plenty of options for both the experiences gamer and for someone who just happens to wonder through the door looking for something different from the status quo board games found in a retail store. If you can't find it on the shelf, Tim (the owner) will be more than happy to order it for you.In closing, I cannot say enough how lucky I feel to have such a great location nearby to where I live. I've traveled a lot, and I've experienced many different locations, but it's rare that I find one which is (in my opinion) the same quality as what I can find a mere stone's throw away from my backyard at Gatehouse Games. I highly encourage anyone passing through or anyone in the area to support the location.
