Our Girl Scout troop went to Guppy Gulch for the Adventure side rather than the Scuba side. We all had a blast. This is a location that is open to groups only (Scouts, Church Groups, Day Camps etc). I would highly recommend this for scout troops. Safety is key so most areas required a facility provided life jacket. The activities we participated in were swimming in an area with a raft and some Wipeout pads to run over, snorkeling, a huge inflated climbing mountain, waterslide (looks primitive but the kids loved it!) zip line, and The Blob. We could see other activities available as well but we just ran out of time. I must admit that the staff was equally impressive. They really interacted well with the kids and guided them from activity to activity deftly so there was never a moment of boredom. What a terrific experience for the scouts. 4 stars instead of 5 since the bathrooms/changing areas were rudimentary. It wasn't a problem with our group but this is a heads up to leaders who are expecting granite countertops and luxurious bathroom stalls. Newsflash--the kids are more interested in the adventure than the bathrooms.

Attended a week camping on site for our Scout Troop High Adventure where the boys learned SCUBA from a really great instructor in Steve Deem. The lessons were very good and the stories made learning the material much easier as it is an applied lesson that made it almost foolproof for everyone to learn and understand. The food is very good some of the best camp food I've had at a camp. Food is provided by Delta Pizza and Sal (the Owner) checked in to make sure everything was good. THE boys (including us bigger ones) loved it and the fact he stopped by showed this man cares about his customers. The waterfront activities are so much fun and Mike and AJ provide excellent service in planning down time with fun activities and ensuring everyone is involved. Different theme nights including camp-wide manhunt, movie night and my favorite classic rock night while chilling on the waterfront. All the staff were friendly and helpful and we will be back for a visit again.

This is a place where people in the Baltimore or Southeast PA area can go to scuba dive. Platforms and guide ropes have been placed and vehicles have been sunk to make diving more scenic. There are plenty of fish in the water. The water is very cold and visibility is poor but the price is good and it is not too far away from Baltimore. This is a great place to go if you do not want to take a trip south to go diving.
