Took the canoe today to explore the Perk for the first time. Well there really isn't much to explore. We were able to go up the perk to a portage and down the perk to a dam in under an hour. Nonetheless it was a nice relaxing trip. I wish I had brought fishing equipment. There were definitely some good looking Smallmouth spots. We also took a walk from Hoy park to Evensberg, very nice few hours. There are picnic tables and a grill in Hoy Park.

That picture is is beautiful, certainly not Hoy Park though. Hoy Park is pretty but nothing like that picture.Hoy Park is located on a point where the Skipback Creek empties into the Perkiomen Creek. It has a boat ramp for small boats on the Skipback Creek side and a deck on the Perkiomen Creek very nice to hang out for a few minutes. If you are into canoeing, it's a nice relaxing trip.I'll walk my dog or run to Hoy Park from Evansburg State Park. It's a really nice walk along the Skipback, about 1.5 miles each way.
