the grog grill

I have been to the grog a few times with friends, my wife and for lunch with the kids. The food is always very good, the service is attentive and the atmosphere fun.

With a wide selection of reasonable -- and really good -- sandwiches, salads, and other comfort food.

Bar and tall stool dining on ground floor and tables and booths upstairs where there is more beer dispensed.Terrific staff, varied crowd. Always fun.

Great selection on the menu and all at a good price.The drinks were reasonable (Excluding European beers, avoid!) and the atmosphere very un-US like. I was at a meal with a group of people and we had a varied selection from the menu. The standout dishes were the French Onion Soup (OMG!) and the burgers.

The Grog is the best place around for lunch, dinner, snack or drinks. Downstairs is the bar area with tables for eating. The bathrooms are in the back of the downstairs area. Upstairs is more of a restaurant with a bar. The place is narrow and deep and oh so comfortable. It's easy to kick back and relax here. You can't get a bad meal here. While I enjoy the tuna melt, hot roast beef, or cheesesteak, I have to admit their burgers are the BEST! It comes with the best french fries anywhere - crispy on the outside, but soft on the inside. My husband recommends the chicken pot pie. Don't hesitate to take your family, even with small kids, upstairs. The Grog makes everybody feel comfortable and welcomed.
