The lights displays, Christmas music, mini houses were all very festive and the entire family had an enjoyable time. We had to park far away, but it was not a bad walk. We took back roads from Shady Maple, just by following the navigation system, and were able to avoid a VERY long line to get into the lot. You might want to try that!

The Christmas village is quaint. Prices are reasonable. The lights and displays are a walk through the past and present and will definitely put you in the Christmas spirit! Don't let the crowds fool you--they move along quickly. Remember to dress warm when visiting because you are outside most of the time!

We visited this place during Christmas weekend. when we reached the place, there was a long line for tickets but it was moving past and within 15 minutes we were inside.This was our first visit to Christmas village and we just LOVED it!!! The lights and other displays are amazing - just like movies :) Worth a visit even if you don't bring kids :) Entry fee and food/drink prices are very reasonable.It definitely gets crowdy but if you reach there before 6 you should be able to avoid the rush.

Visited here right after Christmas with my family, including my Granddaughter age 4. First off the line to get into the parking lot was long...even after Christmas. There was only one way in and out on a single lane road. Admission was reasonable, however I thought it was pretty "cheesy". Of course everything was based upon Christmas. My 4 year old Granddaughter liked it though, so I guess that's all that mattered. Looking at the wires strung for the lights...and they had a lot, I was wondering if they were up to code? They didn't look good to me. And finally they mispelled the name of one of the Reindeer. They called him Donzer...not Donner.

We visited this attraction between Christmas and New Year's Day. I had been there with my 4 young children many years ago. . . . They are in their 40's now. It was a Tuesday evening so the traffic was not bad although the place did start to get crowded around 7:00 pm. The lights are beautiful and the displays interesting. I was amazed to find such reasonable prices for the items that they sold. They obviously are not trying to get rich by ripping off tourists. If you like Christmas lights and displays, you will enjoy this place.

I have been here soo many times. It is great. I would recommend going on a weekday to avoid the crowds...we went on a sunday this time but got there at 7pm ....they close at 9pm so it left plenty of time. they add something new every year. To avoid the wait at the entrance bring $$$$.

I have never heard of this place. My boyfriend grew up in the area. I loved all the lights and animation. It was very busy but still bearable. My kids refused to walk thru mistletoe way with us. Yes traffic heavy getting there but it is well worth the wait

I planned a small get away for my family this past Christmas and was very excited to visit the Christmas village however was very disappointed. Yes the lights were beautiful but it was a bit much decorations could be spread out it was very hard to see everything plus EXTREMLY crowded the web site is also pretty misleading the old fashion candy store and ice cream parlor are decorations inside of buildings not real shops. Also waited in traffic at least 30 mins to then waiting line another 30 and be stopped and pushed by tons of people

It has been a few years since I last visited here with my children when they were younger this time with my grandchildren.It was a little old fashioned then but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it has become updated with many newer displays and decorations fitting a more contemporary style.I enjoyed it then and again now. The kids always had a good time here. Many traditions are presented here and something for everyone of all ages. So many things to see I took a a 100 pictures. I have to warn that t this time of year I have found it cold here so dressing warm in layers would be good advice.Fees are still reasonable considering the times. Probably just covers the electric bill these days.

We go every year and Christmas Village never disappoints. From the beautiful displays to the friendly staff and adorable souvenirs (not to mention the yummy hot chocolate), Christmas Village is THE family trip we never miss. Best to go midweek to avoid the crowds, and dress warmly as the village is on a lake and out in the open country. Also, don't miss the amazing photo op at the crest of Christmas Village Lane.

Visited Christmas Village for the first time. I've heard so many positive comments and couldn't wait to see it. It was just ok, maybe my expectations were too high. I would have liked to see more lights vs. all of the wooden displays. This place is very nice and gets you into the Christmas spirit. Christmas music playing throughout the place. The light display down by the water is beautiful! It's just not my cup of tea. Be prepared to walk with tons of people. And watch out for the strollers, they will run you over.

I read all the good and bad reviews and here is my opinion as i just visited the place for the 1st time :- it's a fun Christmas tradition to take your family there- a lot of people complained about the traffic - you have to know when to go to avoid it - if possible! We went during the week - it opens at 6pm - when we left (around 8pm - it was full and more people coming). So go early if you can! we had a great time and it was not crowded at all when we walked. weekends are packed! stay away!- the older displays - i actually liked those! it reminded me of childhood and i really enjoyed the older ornaments. It's Christmas and it should be all about the meaning - not how old the design is. And kids love it anyway!- it's pretty organized as you follow a path walking through the park- there are lots of train tracks and trains ( i counted 3 areas), a kissing bridge, Santa's workshop (you can take a picture) and other little houses that have all kinds of cute displays.- food and drinks are available at resonable prices- you can also find souvenirsSimply put, it's a nice way to spend a winter evening with your family, breathing some fresh air!

Inexpensive Christmas fun. Nothing commercial but 100% Christmas spirit. Beautiful locations and grounds, bathroom were SUPER clean.

It is a very outdated display. If you were born in the 50's you might appreciate it. I do not recommend it. There are much more beautiful places that ask for a donation for a specific cause and do not charge. The money spent here would have been better spent writing a check to a non profit organization.

I decided to surprise my wife with a belated Christmas present by taking her to Christmas Village without her knowing where we were going. We live three hours away and I told her what time we were leaving home but not our destination. I timed our trip so we would arrive just as the sun was setting and for the time the park opened. As we drove over the last hill she had no idea where wer were or what we were doing. We crested the hill and there in front of us was the grand illumination of Christmas Village. After parking and paying our admission, we casually walked the grounds, enjoyed deliciouse hot chocolate, kissed on the kissing bridge and enjoyed the Christmas songs playing continuously over the speaker system. What a wonderful family experience as evidenced by the many families with children and bus loads of visitors. You will not be dissapointed with a drive to this holiday attraction. Check out their website and make your plans for Christmas 2015! Oh yes, she really was surprised and loved the visit.
