Stopped here in January with another couple. There was a special event going on, but the hostess said we were welcome to come in for drinks if we did not mind standing at a bar along the window (we did not mind at all!). I had some kind of pear-rosemary cocktail, which was so good. Did not know they served some appetizers. We'll be back to try some more drinks. It was difficult to decide which one to order, because they all looked interesting.

Went there for the first time for a business meeting and wasn't sure what to expect. First when I walked in I fell in love with the setting immediately. Beautifully restored building with gorgeous exposed brick and window views of the park next door. They did a good job with the aesthetics of the space. I was hesitant to try something as I will admit I am more of a beer and wine drinker than a liquor person. I decided to try the vodka and two of their rums. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed them. They went down smooth with a great after taste. I also really enjoyed the menu. They put a lot of creativity into the mixed drinks they offer and love how incorporate other local ingredients. I was excited to find they offer a few appetizers and desserts as well. Great place to stop for either an before or after dinner drink. I also had the privilege of getting to meet and speak with the owners for a little bit. It is clear they have a passion for what they do and it reflects in the business. I HIGHLY recommend stopping by this place.I plan to make it a more frequent place I visit in the area.

A snowy and slow Sunday afternoon was no deterrent to excellent service and knowledgable advice from Lucy, our hostess. She informed and advised about snacks, customizing them to our tastes, and the same with our drinks. Wonderful in all aspects!

Visited this place for the first time a few days ago and really enjoyed it. The layout is very nice with tables and chairs as well as couches situated around the bar. My drink choice was very good (a rum drink with jalapenos). We also shared a very nice meat and cheese platter among 3 people.My only complaint is that the place was very difficult to find and does not have an inviting entrance. I know the area and had a general idea where to go. We honestly thought the place was closed when we arrived in the parking lot because there was no lighted entrance nor can you see indoor lighting (on a Saturday night). I phoned a friend who was already there and she came out to show us where to enter. That was very odd for a new establishment. There appears to be ample outdoor seating around back and would be great during warm weather - when we will likely return. Recommended!

Seriously amazing drinks! Very tasty, we were in town for the night and found this awesome new distillery! Highly recommended! Had a couple of the speciality drinks, Def should try the mango highball and spicy rainbow sherbert! Super tasty!

We were traveling the Central PA Tasting Trail and stopped at Big Spring Spirits. The vodka was smooth and delicious. They also had rum and whiskey which were very good. We sat outside on the patio while we enjoyed our tasting and ordered some delicious cocktails along with a meat and cheese platter. The building is part of the Match Factory complex and was constructed in 1931 and has a lot of history. The bar area has a great decor and an inviting atmosphere. The owner invited us to take a tour and is very proud of his distillery and products. I would highly recommend stopping here!

Great location in the old Match Factory. Only producing vodka at his point with more to come. Nice array of drinks, the Coaly ginger and the chocolate martini w chipotle rub my favs. Small plates charcuterie style of Hogs Galore meats, local cheeses available. Beautifully decorated w a view out onto Talleyrand Park. Stop in for a drink... Or two!

Big Springs distillery just opened in July 2014, and is open for tastings and tours on weekends only, so when we arrived in Bellefonte PA on Sunday afternoon, we went right there for our tour. Unfortunately, the distiller was away, but instead of just sending us away, they took our name and number, and called us on Monday, and offered us a private tour on Tuesday morning before we left town. It was great. This facility is LEEDS certified, beautiful, and is turning out white whiskey, vodka, and other spirits, right there in Central PA. Check it out!
