fireside bar and grille

We've been going to dinner here for about 4 years and have never had bad service or a bad meal. This is a family restaurant and a sports bar, simultaneously. It's almost always crowded, even if you get there by 5 for dinner and their famous "early bird" menu, which is cheap, plentiful and good. No matter what we've gotten, from cheesesteaks and pizzas to full dinners (I love their crab cakes and chicken cutlet Italiano, as well as chicken parm) the food is served promptly, hot and flavorful. The service is always friendly and fast. Although the ambience is not fancy, there is a welcoming feel to the place, as if you are at a relative's home for dinner. We do go on a regular basis, especially when we take our friends or kids or the grandkids - with the diverse choices on the menu, everyone is happy.

Food Is okay, nothing to brag about..Food was better a year ago and they have even raised their prices. It's good for ordering pizza or a sandwich, but dinners are not what they used to be. Has gone down hill. Bathrooms are disgusting!! They need to be remolded or at least kept clean.

With the assorted restaurants that have occupied this particular space, by far the Fireside is the best. Their food is anything but bar or tavern style food. The diverse menu offers anyone something to enjoy. I am still trying the items on the menu one at a time but to date I have not been disappointed with one choice. The service is smooth and quick and the atmosphere is nice. Definitely a place you cannot bypass and one that you should try as it is a good place to try anything on the menu. This is one Ambler can put on the map proudly.

The menu is a step above other bar and grill offerings. Has an active bar scene but is a great family restaurant earlier in the evening. Lots of tvs for following sports and some outdoor tables round out the place. Be warned, it is a very popular place, so parking is tough on the weekends. But look for a spot, as it's worth it. This business is a wonderful supporter of many local events, schools and other community organizations. Thank you.
