So, since I reviewed famous dave's just a short time ago, this is the only way that I can let people who don't live in the area know. Dave's was destroyed by fire yesterday, Monday, November 3rd.For those of us who live in the area and can get there often it is really very, very sad. Personally my family has a ton of great memories from the place and the food and drink were simply top notch. We will miss the place but Dave has indicated that he is going to rebuild, and we sure hope that he does. They have all the information on their facebook page so if you are not local I'd stay up to date there, and maybe of us are sharing our memories there also.Very sad indeed but I know they will be back and what a grand re-opening that is going to be

My sister Linda suggested I promote The Cobblestone Bed and Breakfast by reminding future guests that this was built by Tony Wises Great Grandfather in 1912. It is a 25 mile ride to Hayward to catch a bus for race day. Toney Wise is the founder of The American Birkiebeiner. This is one of the biggest attractions in The Great North Woods also known as God`s County.
