I never write reviews but I just had to make sure everyone knows about this place! Man! What a great place to visit. I now an the proud owner of SEVERAL pieces from the Wilson Creek Pottery studio. The owners were incredibly helpful in answering questions, but the pieces alone are AMAZING! I now have replaced most of my bowls, plates, mugs and vases with these wonderful ceramic pieces. It really does make you appreciate your food and surroundings knowing someone made these by hand. I also picked up a few for decoration and have received multiple compliments on them. I spoke with Ashley (the potter) and she said she may be able to help me customize a few pieces for my family for Christmas! That is a service that is pretty much unheard of these days!!! Thanks Wilson Creek

So glad to have been able to stop in the pottery shop and meet the owners. They are some of the friendliest and most fun folks you'll ever meet. You can tell Ashley pours her heart and soul into her pottery and it takes some real dedication to have the shop so close to their home - even willing to leave in the middle of their breakfast on a sunny Saturday morning to let customers browse. And with my tight budget, I was delighted that everything was so reasonably priced. Considering all of the work that goes into making each piece and how beautiful they all are, I was pleasantly surprised that I could afford my new (favorite) bowl!Highest recommendations for Wilson Creek Pottery, can't say enough nice things about this place or the people. Will certainly be back next time I'm in Wisconsin.

Wilson Creek Pottery is nestled in the cutest little patch of Wisconsin farm land. Ashley makes amazing pottery. She's basically a country girl at heart that has spend enough time in the big city (Chicago) to bring hip and functional into this traditional craft arts. The quality is excellent, the color and design are unique and universal and the price is so fair. I only have a few pieces but get compliments on them constantly. I can't wait to acquire more the next time I'm there. Basically if you're in the area at all Wilson Creek Pottery well worth the trip!

I wasn't expecting the countryside to be so picturesque in Spring Green, but with the rolling hills and little farms... it's kind of like stepping into a 1950's postcard. The people I met there were very grounded and real, and made me feel at home. The people at Wilson Creek Pottery are no exception. It's a very unassuming place to drive up on... but the when you see the shop and studio and the pieces they make by hand, you'll be glad you came. We had a hard time limiting our selections to just a few items... we'll definitely be stopping back by next year!

What a wonderful shop in the middle of a beautiful valley. I have stopped a few times now because I love the pottery and it is always a very pleasant experience. Ashley is wonderful...I just love her! She took the time to explain the process she goes through to create her beautiful pieces. I am reminded of the the experience every time I use them in my kitchen. I have received many compliments when serving my creations on her creations! It has been a must stop on our road trips to the Spring Green area. You will not be disappointed...stop by!

What can I say they do great work! Ash knows her stuff, her art is always evolving and she is very receptive to her clients. If you’re ever up near their studio you should defiantly stop by as it’s a great space run by really talented people. I can’t wait to get some new pieces from them and I’m convinced coffee tastes better in their mugs.

Unbelievable pottery!! This place is not lacking on talent! They sell so many unique pieces that can be used on an everyday basis and as a bonus it's all dishwasher and microwave safe. I love the variety of colors they have to offer, the people who make the pottery, and the list goes on! I will definitely be back for more!

Wilson Creek Pottery is snuggled in a beautiful valley that I stumbled upon while exploring the rolling hills outside of Madison. As soon as I got out of the car, the un-assuming workshop made me feel very welcome. When I stepped inside the gallery, I knew that there had been a lot of thought and intentional design put into the space - which are always good qualities in an art studio and reflect well on an artist. I was greeted by Ashley, who was working in the studio. She is gracious and kind and made me feel like a good friend entering her home. She took the time to explain the process of crafting her pottery, selecting certain types of glazes, and her history in the arts. She was neither snobby nor one to give me the hard-sell. She was generally interested in us as people, rather than looking at us as potential sales. I find so many artists who have studios at their homes can come off as aloof or snobby. Not Ashley! She was great. We got a tour of the studio and saw how the pottery went from wet clay to its final form. Her work is as functional as it is beautiful. Her work is also very reasonably priced, and I bought as much as I could possibly fit in my tiny car that was packed full to begin with. I bought them with the intention of giving them as gifts, but have now just ended up keeping them for myself. I guess I'll have to go back and visit the next time I'm in the area! Of all the wonderful places and I visited on my recent roadtrip, Ashley's studio is the one that I think will stay with me the longest.

Spring Green is a beautiful place - home to some of the world's most innovative artists. Of all the beautiful things that can be found here, the most exceptional is the artistry of Ashley Pfannenstiel's pottery. Located in the bucolic countryside, their studio is stylish and homey with rustic accents and a myriad of natural textures...creating the ideal backdrop for her contemporary pottery to be displayed and sold. You can see the love and attention to detail that Ashley puts into every piece. Her distinctive, yet simple aesthetic compliments any type of home decor from French Country to modern contemporary. I love her stuff - and have gotten addicted to buying pieces I probably don't need - but love to put on display anyway. Her canisters are AMAZING, and her dip/chip bowls are a staple of all our dinner parties. I cannot recommend this place enough. Truly fantastic products!

A restful weekend in south central Wisconsin found us at Wilson Creek Pottery. Potter Ashely and her assistant couldn't have been friendlier and more welcoming as they patiently showed us the studio and the beautiful creations. Each piece is beautiful made with the most unique colors and color combinations. Buy off the shelf or special order--they aim to please, and I think you'll certainly be pleased!

Wilson Creek Pottery is in the middle of rural paradise. Along with the pottery being beautifully hand-crafted - it's dishwasher safe as well (a MUST if you ask me). The owner is just about the coolest person I've ever met. The Spring Green area is so very refreshing to visit. You should stop by!

The next time you are cruising to the Shoe Box or hanging out in lovely Mazomanie or Spring Green, do yourself a favor and take County Road WC to Wilson Creek Pottery! Not only is the store adorable and filled with beautiful, colorful, dishwasher safe pottery, but Ashley (the potter) is so friendly and welcoming. If you're lucky, she'll take you into the studio and you can see where she creates these wonderful works of art. I use my small bowls just about every day and actually went back to buy more because they are so useful around the kitchen. Keep up the great work Ashley!

If you want to see some amazing scenery, and meet some very friendly people, go to this store. (the pottery ain't bad either!!) The owner Ashley is such a sweet person, and the pottery she makes is WONDERFUL! Her color combinations are beautiful, and designs workable, durable, and usable. They are all microwave and dishwasher safe as well. I spent an hour or so visiting with her in her pottery shed. (and bought a 'few' pieces!), and couldn't have had a better time. The shop is "always open", as she lives there on the property. The area you drive thru to get to the shop is lush, green, rolling hills with scattered farms about. There's even a nearby farm that has a lot of animals to look at. You won't be disappointed if you visit this shop, and I can't wait to see all the new designs and colors she'll come up with for next year. She uses colors that are environmentally safe as well as people safe, so even better. If you stop by tell her "HI from Wendy".
