Riverwood Canoe has excellent service, good equipment and are all around good people! I prefer a small local outfitter and they fit the bill. Two brothers and father have been on the St. Croix for years and years. We didn't need much instruction, but it was readily available if needed. From the time we pulled up to park to the time they dropped us of, we never waited. Even at the take-out ramp back in Oseola.The St. Croix River is beautiful and the water is calm and easily navigable. Very few motorized boats in the 7 mile paddle. I say paddle, but we could have easily just relaxed, steered and enjoyed the scenery. Options for canoe, kayak or stand-up paddle board. Going to be a great option for out of town guests through the fall!

My girlfriend and I were thrilled with Riverwood Canoe! The trip was beautiful and Kevin, in addition to providing friendly conversation, made sure we were well prepared. We had a ton of fun and would highly recommend Riverwood Canoe to others!

I rented kayaks from Riverwood Canoe mainly because they were cheaper than everyone else. Not only were they cheap, but they were the friendliest owners you will ever meet. I accidentally locked my keys in my car and they were very helpful for fixing that problem quickly. We did a 7 mile trip down the river and he was at the end waiting for us. With the exception of locking my keys in the car, it could not have been any easier and stress free.Thank you guys!

We as many others recently canoed/kayaked down the St. Croix from Taylors Falls to Osceola - 7 miles(3 - 4 hours). Most people who do this stretch go with an outfitter from Taylors Falls/St. Croix Falls. At take out, you have to wait for the bus(hourly) to take you back to your car. Riverside Canoe is based out of Osceola, so they bus you up river to St. Croix Falls and then you float back to your car. Well, actually to within a mile of your car. We were met on the beach by Riverside and promptly whisked back to our car in less than 5 minutes. Riverside has been in business for about a year. I found them friendly, helpful and prompt. They have an arrangement with The St. Croix Inn that allows access to a restroom for changing. Check out their website.
