I had a great time here. The space is a little small, but cute. The lady who took care of me was fantastic. Her name has escaped my mind. We chatted about what I like and look for then offered suggestions and even paired some wines together and mixed them to what she thought I would like. I was also purchasing some as gifts and gave her an idea of what my friends would like and she let me try wines she thought they would like. To give me a better feel of what to buy for them. She was easy going completely friendly. Sometimes you go into a wine place and you feel uncomfortable and dumb. Not here. I don't know a ton about wine besides I like it. That wasn't a problem here at all. And their prices are great. Between $11-$14 a bottle. I did not feel pressure to buy the wines. Even though I did buy more than i intended, but only because I liked so many! love supporting local wine business. This one was really great.

Good selection of wines! Staff was friendly, but while trying to tailor our wine tasting selections to wines we'd like, she did give us some that were definitely not to our taste. Still a good experience though!

We were in town for the beer, but wandered into the quaint winery tasting room as we roamed beautiful downtown New Glarus. A group of seniors were already at the bar sampling everything the winery had to offer. The hostess/bartender (who is a bit kooky, but funny) came right over to us, gave us a tasting sheet, and started talking us through the wines. I consider myself a beer connoisseur, but a newbie to wine. I enjoyed most of the wines and we ended buying a bottle as we left. The bartender was awesome and funny.

We had a wonderful tasting experience and the gals working could not have been nicer. We will definately return!

Love being able to taste all the wines before buying a bottle. They have a few different ones each time i go.

We stopped by New Glarus on our way back from the state park because it seemed like a fun place to check out. Our first stop was this winery, and if it tells you anything, we left there with 4 bottles of wine and wanted more! There is a free tasting (tips accepted and deserved!) and the tasting portions were more than a thimble-full, which I approve of. She even discussed how each one was made and it's history, which was incredibly interesting. Overall, we will certainly be back for more wine!!!

We were treated to tastes of 8 or so local wines made from local grapes -- quite unusual for the Midwest where most "vintners" import California concentrate. While the quality of the wine is not up to what you'd get in Napa or the Willamette Valley, it was quite fun to try the wines. And, unlike Napa, the tasting was gratis. Some wines were quite unusual like rhubarb wine. Definitely worth stopping by to sample local color and local products, and the hostess was very friendly.

I came down to New Glarus to turkey hunt several years ago and went to the winery to get a case of the summer wine I had at a friends house, this wine is great!! Tried the rhubarb wine and bought some of that too!! All the wines are excellent and I plan to order more soon. Great gift idea also,(even for someone that doesn't care for wine that much ,will love the summer wine, guarantied !!!!!)

I walked in and suddenly was given 9 different wines to sample. Now, that's heaven! The wines are very good and the selection is just as fantastic!

Wine tasting was a nice pleasant and friendly experience. The sales lady was very down to earth, just wasn't really impressed with the wine. Pleased I stopped by but won't be returning.
