I just wanted to write to express my disappointment from our experience on the 18th. We had been planning this outing for months to help celebrate my daughter's ninth birthday. We researched all over and really wanted to find a place where my 5 year old could also ride with us! My husband called and when he talked to Bernadette both times she was really pleasant. We were so excited. Especially my daughter who had wanted to go horse back riding for years besides the pony rides at the fair. Our excitement soon went crashing down after our arrival. Bernadette "greeted" us with grouchy face and a clipped "follow me". We followed her into the arena and things really started to go down hill. She snapped at us to sign the release forms. Never explaining what it said and was upset when my just turned 5 year old couldn't sign his name. The thing that really upset me was her clipped, sharp directions that she gave to my kids. To the birthday girl she said "hey you need to listen." The look on her face was pinched and irritated looking. At this sharp command both my Mom and I informed her that my daughter has a speech and language disorder as well as hearing aids and that Bernadette needs to calm down. My daughter didn't know what to do or think. And my son who was excited before now was saying he didn't want to go. Seriously it was like Bernadette had never talked to kids before. I felt so bad that something my kids were so looking forward to was turning into an awful experience. Bernadette continued to bark orders at both our party and at her workers. Everyone was on edge and afraid to say or do anything that would upset Bernadette. The whole time I felt like she was in a hurry and that we were taking up her time and that us being there was an inconvenience. On a positive note after escaping Bernadette we had a great time on the ride with our three guides. My kids started having a good time and began to forget it's horrible beginning. The guides were very nice and encouraging to my kids. At the end my kids got goody bags for my daughter's birthday. However in my eyes some candy and a free pen don't make up for the unbelievable rudeness that we encountered and having to pay for it on top of it! I understand that everyone has a bad day but that is no excuse for the rudeness to us as customers.

Loved the place and the horses. We looked it up in the internet, read the reviews, called and scheduled an appointment. We loved the horses and Bernadette is just great. She loves what she does and we had a great time while vacationing in Wisconsin.
