Went here with our 2 1/2 and almost one year old. They love this place. Plenty for them to do and they could spend hours doing it.

All pros & no cons for this site! Our grandaughter absolutely had a blast and mom & dad enjoyed it too! It is a very happy place with dozens of activity stations going full tilt on a holiday off from the work week. It is a very popular place too, and gets busy. the staff is friendly & helpful. Yes; you need to have a child with you to get in + the admission fee.

My kids are 5, 3, and 1 and they all loved it here. The best children's museum we have ever been to!

There are endless activities and fine exhibits to see. My kids have a hard time leaving because there are such great people there to entertain and friends to meet. I'm amazed at how my kids remember what they've done and seen in fine detail days after they have been to the exhibits. We will definitely go back.

My kids (currently ages 9,7) have been going here for years and every time we come to visit the grandparents this is one of their first requests to visit. We hadn't been here in a while, we loved the new exhibits upstairs. The downstairs exhibits had some improvements too, which the kids were excited about. One of the drawbacks, especially when it's busy some one always likes to play with all the money - so the bank never has any nor does the store. I would think here would be ways to trouble shoot this over the years (perhaps give each kid some pretend money when they check in- or somehow with the new ATM machine they have there to play with spit out money?) They typically have crafts and other fun manipulative toys in the rooms down stairs. The water room is always a hit, and I felt like we did not get a chance to really play with the new foam toys on the top floor. Although we loved the tractor and camp set up.For the amount they charge people to visit the museum it's a nice outing for the kids.

My wife, granddaughter and I took our great-grandson to the museum. He had a great time playing in the various areas. He especially liked the kitchen (maybe a future chef). It is a great place to take your children and let them have various experiences. The staff is friendly and the cost in minimal for the amount of enjoyment the children receive.

Good place to take a kid too. Many different things they can do. Parking is an issue like most places downtown.

My husband and I spent a couple of hours here with our three young children; we all had a very pleasant visit. There are many activities for everybody, our favorite part was the art and water exhibits downstairs. The play yard was also nice for the little ones to run around and work up an appetite before grabbing a bite to eat. I will definitely be visiting the children's museum more often.

Located downtown Eau Claire. This is your average hands on style children's museum that you see across the country. Small children from 4-10 would enjoy but nothing out of this range. They have nice facilities. They host events from time to time.

I love this museum and my kiddos I bring love it too! We always spend at least 2-3 hours there. However, I've found that when it's very busy, the museum can get really messy fast. Sometimes other kids are rude too (no fault of the museum, of course!). They'll grab things we're playing with or get sassy. I wish their adults were actually supervising them. This is probably something the museum could announce often because I think adults forget that they need to be watching their own kids.I've also found some of the adults to be rude too. Yesterday, a mom very loudly told her kids that we were hogging up all the building blocks. My kiddos felt HORRIBLE! They thought they weren't allowed to play anymore! Again, no fault of the museum. I just wish adults like this mom didn't feel the need to be passive aggressive. Her kids were more than welcome to play with us. I honestly think she just wanted to make a scene. If you go on a Sunday afternoon (especially when football is playing), it's very quiet and clean. We very rarely run into rude kids and their parents. Saturdays are crazy and chaotic. And sometimes I feel more stressed out after going to the museum on a Saturday!

Overall the Children's Museum of Eau Claire is nice. It's very clean and the staff, when you see them, are friendly. They have a nice baby/toddler area right inside the door that is gated off from the rest of the areas. Highlight of the other areas is the digestive system that makes noises as your child climbs through. The store & diner are nice if the museum isn't crowded. Building areas and theater are okay. Water area on the lower floor is fun if the area isn't crowded. Extra caution is advised since the surfaces can be slippery & your child has the opportunity to become very wet. Not every area is fully accessible to wheelchairs of kids with limited mobility...digestive system, climbing building in building section...not sure about the height of counters in water feature. The museum is in the process of expanding on its third floor. The new exhibits sound like lots of fun but won't be available this summer. Check the museum's website for more info.

I went with my sons preschool class. we were there about 2.5 hours. The kids had a lot of fun and you need a child to get in so you feel a little safer knowing not just anyone can come in when your child it playing they have a nice area for young kids like 2 and under. they have a nice water area in the basement they my son really loved it is a nice place to take the kids to.

I found my grandchildren a bit bored. Not too advanced for older kids like over eight. Could have more special shows come to keep .one a bit more interested. Overall not too good.

They have a lot of hands on exhibits. Very enjoyable and laid out nice. They just added a 3rd floor which I haven't visited yet. This is a great, affordable place especially for our long Wisconsin winters. Give it a try!
