If you don't make your own, this is the place to buy lefse. I do make lefse, so I know what good lefse is supposed to look and taste.

This was really fun to stop at. A little market that has tons of different items to buy. Their pies are phenomenal. They have applies in season and all kind of different canned items. Not to mention homebaked bread! A must stop!

Awesome selection of fresh produce, homemade pickles and preserves made with local produce. Dill pickle spears with onion and garlic are a favorite. Also sell Reynards Cheese. Saw info about market on WI PBS Foodies tv show.

While Weinke's Market is a bit out of the way (north of Algoma), it's definitely worth the trip. They always feature a wonderful variety of homemade baked goods, jams and jellies, frozen Door County cherries, fresh fruits and vegetables, and canned items including some great hot pickles. Just thinking about them makes my mouth water! What makes the place extra memorable is the fact that it's housed in an old barn. For "big city" people, that makes it worth the stop. During spring/summer Weinke's also offers a selection of plants for the garden. The items that are sold are a bit on the pricey side, but deliver homemade goodness with every bite.

The products featured at Wienke's are truly a fine sampling of the life and culture of Kewaunee and Door Counties. Take the time to drive scenic Highway S from Algoma to Door County and make a stop at Wienke's!
