Machines do not pay off. Every time I've been there less people there to gamble. They now close table games after midnight and open one table about 10:00 AM. People are finally catching on to stay away. The place is bad. They started a shuttle service from neighboring towns and offer incentives. This is to suck in players because of lack of local business. People are finally learning. Don't go there. Only public place you can smoke in doors in Kansas is a State Owned Casino. Place stinks like smoke. So will your car after you leave there. Only reason I rated this place a 1 is because "0" or negative numbers were not available.

I have never been disappointed with my experiences at the casino. They strive to provide excellent customer service, and most of the waitstaff in the restaurant demonstrate the great attitude well. I often tipped more than what I spent on the meal. A group of friends and I went out to eat once a week, and we ended up returning to the casino to eat each week after our first visit.

We went to Boot Hill Casino since we had a package from the Hampton Inn next door that included "free" money to use here on top of what the casino offered. The lady at the players' club counter was friendly and personable. It's a small place, but seems to have a bit of everything. We stuck to the slot machines and ended up with some winnings. We liked that it was less smoky than the Las Vegas casinos we had visited a few days earlier. We also enjoyed the historical pictures and information on the walls.

Lots of fun to be had here with all the elements of gambling. Poker, blackjack, three card poker, Ultimate Hold-em, slots a plenty, roulette. Have won several really good jackpots on slots. But as expected mostly just feed the mindless machines coins for hours for cheap entertainment. Occasional tournaments held for poker, blackjack etc. but usually only during a holiday. Pretty liberal allowing a free meal with fair table action and the meal can be from the grill or from the nice Firesides Restaurant. Staff always very friendly and helpful, pit bosses will attempt to accommodate your requests if within reason.

New Casino with free comps right off. We got free food, casino money to use and a good time. We both came out ahead (not too far) and really enjoyed ourselves.

The place had all the games you would want to play, just not a lot of them. The dealers were good and friendly and always willing to help you out. The place is kept clean and the air quality was really good.

Have been about 20ish time because I have family that lives close. I've walked a way. A winner 1 time can go through a 100 in about 3 min at the machines without seeing any return. it's state owned so you can smoke in it which is weird. Nice it's there but worse luck I've ever has too many times in a row. Tight State Ran Casino easy as that

First time visiting Boot Hill Casino and Resort. We drove from Great Bend after a company function. Yes, a lengthy drive. We arrived in the early morning and played the slot machines. We hit a few bucks, and then it was like they flipped a switch and the machines weren't paying out. On a maximum bet, would you hope to win a nice chunk of change. Instead, we left with alot less than we brought with us. Lesson learned. We ate at the cafe and was disappointed. They only had one cook on staff and he was running around like a chicken with his head cutoff. Didn't get what we expected in the way of quantity or quality. We should have eaten at the Fireside as understand you get what you pay for...a better meal. Another lesson learned. In addition, they only had one attendant on hand to sign up new players and it was at the cashier's station because the player's club attendant was on break. The casino is decorated very country western style, historic, cute. They had more slot machines than we originally thought, so that was a plus in the beginning, but a minus in the end. No idea what the cost for a room would be as we didn't stay the night (Hampton Inn), but I'm sure pricey. This was one of the casino's we had on our bucket list to visit in Kansas. It's been permanently deleted from our list. Won't be visiting again.

Casino Sucks: Dealer made a mistake at BJ table. I told her she said I was wrong. Pit boss verified that I was also wrong. 2-shuffles later when I started to leave the Pit Boss decided that the mistake was actually wrong as I had told them. She made me give back $120 or she would call security and have me arrested. The bet in question was less money. Current dealer and other players agreed with me she was wrong. Was going to file a complaint with gaming commission but found she had to file the complaint. This place should be closed down

Blackjack tables were $10 minimum on a Tuesday night. Only found one video poker game. Only stayed 20 minutes, since they didn't have my games at a reasonable price

The casino was nice but they did not staff the casino for a conference attendance, many card tables weren't open as they did not have enough staff. Only one end of the craps table was open because they did not have enough staff. They need to coordinate between with the events center to staff accordingly. The restaurant only offers 4 or 5 dinner entree's and they were out of their most popular, prime rib. Again did not coordinate with the events center to accommodate for the conference.

We were transporting a car by driving from L.A. to upstate N.Y. We decided to stay at casinos across the U.S. It happened that the long day came to an end and brought us to Dodge City and to Boot Hill Casino & Resort. Upon arrival we took our bags to our room at the Hampton next door and found it to be very clean and an easy jaunt to the casino. We were greeted at the door and given a general description of the layout but as I noted it is small and really needs no introduction. I collect the player cards from all the casinos I go to and this was no exception. Hey it's a free ten bucks! I Proceeded to the bar and had a few brews the Barkeeps were very friendly and the beers were not cheap but four dollars we paid there is not uncommon where we live and was not a deal breaker. Went to the Slots to use up that ten dollars and didn't have much luck losing it. I won One hundred and forty six dollars on their dime! I got up and walked away. I took two hours or so to wander around the inside perimeter and was glad I did. The walls are covered with a ton of historical info and just fun facts. It's time for dinner. I ate at the Firesides and ordered the Prime Rib. I was waited on within a few minutes again by very personable wait staff. I had a salad to start and I will say the salad bar leaves a bit to be desired., then came the Prime Rib and it was sixteen ounces of about the best I have ever eaten.. I am not a big eater but I did not waste a bit . Was approached a couple times and asked if everything was fine. Do you require anything else?Back to Gambling. I tried to get on a table but they were too few. Most if not all were twenty dollar minimums. I played slots again and proceeded to give back what I had won. It is a casino. Back to the bar for a few before bed. The barkeeps had changed and we were greeted and served by the bar/restaurant manager. She is probably the most likable person we met on our journey. She appeared to have it under control and still had time for a lengthy chat. Back on the road in the A.M.

My wife and I were coming in to the casino and she only had her new valid paper I d they wouldn't allow us in because of policy that was fine but there security named Richard was extremely rude then we turned and walked out he followed us outside side in the parking lot to continue to be rude then I called in to complain he was the one that called me back just to be even more rude then hung up on me in my opinion worst hospitality I have ever experienced

We were hesitant about eating the $9.99 prime rib here due to the mixed reviews here on TripAdvisor. We took the gamble & went for it. Both our meals were very good. The casino was small, but there were plenty of slot machines available. We ate, we gambled and had fun!

We loved looking at the historical stuff here. It was very nice and homey. We don't gamble but we did enjoy the atmosphere.
