Have wanted to go to this for a long time. Not disappointed, either! Not a lot of vendors, but a very nice assortment of food, produce, honey, flowers, etc. Music was "Surrender Dorothy", and they were good, too.

This place is a veritable cornucopia of food. The sheer variety of produce, organic products, grass raised meats is remarkable. Best of all is that most of the vendors are local farms from the surrounding area. Farm to table fresh. The baked goods that are offered are all exceptional. A big shout out to the kids from the Broadmoor Culinary School. Their baked goods are second to none and the English muffins are HUGE. Don't forget to get some. I come here whenever I'm in town.

The variety is wonderful and I love how this is a one-stop shop. I can get fresh produce, cage-free eggs, all kinds of meats, breads, a variety of baked goods, lunch and even wine. The vendors are so nice. I love the cooking demos because I can sample new things. The music makes it fun for everyone!! This is one of the best farmers' markets I've ever been too!!!!

This is one of the better farmers markets I have been too. They have a good variety and generally the quality is high. Most of the time, most of the products are actually locally homegrown. There is a real seasonality to what they offer. What I mean is in the spring they offer a lot of plants and herbs whereas during the summer they offer a lot of homegrown fruits and vegetables. They also offer wines, honey, locally grown meats, breads, jams and preserves and other specialty products. The one thing to be careful of is during off season times they have a lot of warehouse products which I don't think should be ever allowed at any "farmers market" ever. Making it even nicer, they offer a good variety of already prepared foods such as turkey legs, corn on the cob, pastries, coffee and other similar fare. This last time they even had some Salvadoran fare. We go here all the time and usually enjoy it a lot. There are also a number of good restaurants nearby such as Great Day Cafe and El Salvadoreno. Frequently, there is also entertainment provided so this is a nice place to take the whole family. It is usually pretty crowded on Saturdays.

Wonderful Saturday market; fresh produce, some handmade soaps, baked goods & honey. Music and prepared food round the experience out. Plus, free ample parking.

My friend and I were visiting from Michigan and happened upon this farmers market. What a lovely downtown area also. They have a wide variety of farm fresh items. There was live music and also some food vendors (we enjoyed the corn on the cob). It was a bit crowded when we got there around 10am, but it was exciting to see American commerce at its finest. Highly recommend checking it out!

This market is the right size. Has lots of options from fresh fruit and vegetables to homemade jams, pastas, sweets and breads. I do go early when it is not so busy.

One of the better Farmers Markets I've been to. Extremely fresh produce plus organics of all sorts. Honey, goats milk soaps & some of the best peaches I've had. All from local farms.

I love going here every Saturday. They have great quality fruits, veggies and homemade treats. I wouldn't recommend buying cheese, as they put the best stuff as samples and may send you home with some stinky old block of cheese. I love the shopping ares surrounding the farmers market. Each shop or restaurant is unique and I always seem to find some cool item to bring home with me.

If you're in town on a Wednesday or Saturday during market season, it's well worth a trip to see the selection of fresh, local produce, cheese, baked goods, honey, etc. The market has high-quality items for sale, and the city inspects all of the farms to verify that they are growing their own produce. Plan to make a half-day of it and visit the wonderful Downtown Overland Park shops and restaurants, too. Don't miss Penzey's Spices, the Tasteful Olive and Ten Thousand Villages.

Any time I'm in town on Wednesday or Saturday I always make it to Overland Park Farmers Market. The produce is so fresh and you can sample before buying. The vendors are very helpful and knowledgeable and love to trade or share recipes. The prices are reasonable and usually better than the grocery store where all you get is rock hard imported produce.

Wide selection of vegetables, ample parking, enjoyed the entertainment. Many plants, vegetables and fruits, homemade cheeses, meats and honey.

This is a Farmer's market with a wide variety. A little pricey for some of the vendors. The pie vendor is sometimes rude.

We finally went to the Overland Park Farmers Market. I loved it. Have never been to a farmers market it was fun and easy. We have gone back several times now. Lots of different vegs and fruit. Even got some fresh made bread and wildflowers at types. They also tell you what type they are, as in resale, grown them selves, within so many miles, etc. If you love fresh items great place to get them. Had 2 young kids with me and had no problems with getting around with my large double stroller. Have cash as many vendors don't take debit cards. a few will take checks.

I have always enjoyed going to the Overland Park Farmer's Market. It's held every Wednesday morning from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Saturday morning from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. from (roughly) early April until the last Saturday in October. (Ends sooner in the year for the Wednesday market.) OPFM is located outside in downtown Overland Park, at approximately 79th-80th Street and Marty (just east of Metcalf).OPFM has produce from Kansas and Missouri farms. I've seen peaches, watermelon (seedless, seeded, small & large), onions, tomatoes, eggplant, peppers (green, yellow, red, as well as spicier varieties), cucumbers, squash, and cantaloupe (I could be leaving out something, hard to remember them all!). I believe most of it was organic. There are non-produce items to buy as well! I saw a lot of grain-fed meats, as well as olive oil, pastas, and sweet Polish walnut bread (called Povitica), Cajun foods, Trader Joe''s sodas in glass bottles, & mini pies (again, I'm probably leaving a thing or two out, sorry!!!) The farmer's market believe that these vendors can enhance the veggies & fruits with pairing the these items to make tasty treats. And if you get hungry from all the goodies you've picked up, and your appetite is now piqued from collecting all that fabulous food, you can get some yummy food right there! Roasted corn-on-the-cob is available for purchase as well as tacos and tamales and bottled water!!! I had an awesome tamale this past weekend, and I bought some frozen to take home! This past Saturday, the market had a baby emu and a baby goat for people to see and pet (well, not the emu). There were also some farm implements for kids (or big kids) to sit on. Some vendors accept a credit card, some accept checks, and all take cash. Most vendors are under a huge, huge tent. The shade is nice to have, and helpful if its sprinkles (which is rare in Kansas in summer anyway!).There is a small lot for parking, but many off-the-street parking places too. I had no problem parking this past Saturday, even with a really good crowd there! Here's the website: http://www.opkansas.org/apps/Things-To-See-And-Do/Farmers-Market/I always look forward to going to the market! :)
