The performance was excellent with great oldies produced with lots of energy. The food was especially good. all of the food dishes were properly prepared. There were lots of food options, fish, beef and pork plus wonderful vegetables-prepared crisp and delicious.

This is a dinner theater, It serves a buffet dinner then watch the show with desserts during intermission. We sat in the back but even there, the sight line was very good and it was still an excellent view. We saw "Shear Madness" starring among others Richard Karn and the show was a lot of fun. The play has interactive components. The food was solid. Fried Chicken, beef, mashes potatoes, breads, vegetables, etc. There are several lines so they tend to move at a reasonable pace. The desserts were very tasty. We had a chance to meet the cast afterwards and they were incredibly kind and gracious. An amazing evening. Highly recommend.

We had occasion to visit the New Theater with my daughter. The stage plays are always top notch, and this company has been in Kansas City for about 40 years.

I visited the New Theater for the first time today, and had a delightful afternoon. The food was very good, and the play, "Murder Among Friends", starring Morgan Fairchild, was quite entertaining. In addition to Ms. Fairchild, there were several other noteworthy actors in the cast, whom I'd seen on various television programs. The theater is very attractive and seems well designed; I doubt there's a bad seat in the house. All employees with whom I came in contact were courteous, cordial, and professional. Had the opportunity to meet Morgan Fairchild after her performance, and she's as gracious as she is gorgeous and talented! If you enjoy theater, you'll want to place the New Theater on your "Must Visit" List!!

This dinner theater is a favorite with our whole family and any friends that we've taken with us to see shows over the past 10 years. The food is very good, just enough different from every day. The shows are always first-rate productions. Very entertaining and enjoyable. And the desserts are a blast to try. We always get two or three and let everyone in our party try them. An excellent evening out!!

What a treat. Music I grew up with and food prepared by master chefs. This was one of the best shows I have attended at the New Dinner Theater. The actors were oustanding, the stage presentation was great and the sound/lighting were excellent. It was an enjoyable evening.

We have been attending plays at the New Theater for several years and always have a good time. However they have a new food manager and we will probably wait a while before we go again as the style of food did not agree with us. It was just too spicy. It is a good place to see former big stars even though they have a bit of age on them. The plays are always a lot of fun and are the right fare for a relaxing fun evening.

This is my second year as a season ticket holder although I had been attending productions once or twice a year for several years. Upon being seated, a generally friendly and efficient server starts your evening with salad, a bread basket and drink orders. Next is dinner and for a buffet style meal, the food is pleasantly good with a sizeable selection. I have found the theatrical productions to range from good to excellent with the latter the norm.Overall, efficient, good food and entertainment all for a reasonable price.

We've been season ticket holders for years. The food is good, and there's way too much of it! Some plays are better than others, mostly escapist, non-cerebral, enjoyable fare. It's worth it for the relative low price of tickets.

Terrific food and show. Honestly, for the money, you can't beat the value. Great buffet with quality offerings, wonderful dessert options and the shows are usually top notch. You will walk (or waddle) away stuffed and entertained.

We have been going to New Theater since it opened on 91st Street. First it was date night to make us go out without kids. Now it is nice evening for dinner and a show with friends. The meal is always delicious and the shows are hit and miss, but always an nice evening.

This is one of the finest working dinner theaters in the United States. The shows are wonderful (we have been to many over the years) and the buffet is above average. Seating is good for all price ranges. We highly recommend checking this out if you enjoy dinner theater.
