My top place to visit in Wichita. There is always something new happening here and it's never a dull moment. If you get a minute, go check out the movies playing in the Dome Theatre!

Took my boys (7 & 2) for the day and they had a blast. They loved the kids castle and the building station. We didn't see any movies, but we spent so much time playing that we wouldn't of had time anyway. I wish we would have brought snacks because the snack shop was not open on a Friday afternoon.

Grandchildren were so excited about this place. Even I learned more about germs but the Kansas room was fantastic for them to explain all about their world in Wichita. We even got to experience what a tornado is like (without the dangers of it).

This is a great place for kids. The exhibits are interactive and appeal to all ages. The airplane room is fun. We went to a creator lab and built light up cards (circuits). There is a great castle. The only thing the kids didn't love was the traveling, "What's Eating You" exhibit. I liked it, but our kids are fairly young and weren't interested in all the reading that was required to understand the exhibit fully. Plus, we visited that part last, so they were probably tired. We will probably visit again when we are in the area.

We make regular trips to Exploration place to see the different exhibits that come through. You can take your kids or go alone and there is plenty of appeal for young and old alike. The theaters are extra $ but you can go to them by themselves or as part of the complete package. This is an interactive and fun way of learning or just playing and having fun.

I went with my wife, step daughter and 2 grandkids to explore and give the kids something to do. I think I got as excited by some of the things offered as the kids did and I know my wife did. It is definitely worth the admittance and a must for anyone with a family.

Exploration Place changes their exhibits every few months. Some are better than others but it's always a great place to spend a Saturday with the kids. They're sure to learn lots AND have fun doing it, no matter the exhibits.

There is a lot to see at Exploration Place, with a lot of hands on things for kids and adults alike. The whole family will enjoy visiting the science exhitbits. The train set is so neat with a replica of Wichita. The tornado exhibit is fun to see and go in. Everyone learns both children and adults. My great nephew only 1 year old enjoyed getting to touch the rocks. I really enjoyed the exhibit, I had not seen it before and was glad for the opportunity to see it with family.See for yourself

Exploration Place, I believe, has good intentions with their vision. It is kid friendly, My biggest complaint with this attraction is the majority of the time you go, there is several items in the traveling exhibits that do not work. Things that are a permanent part of the exhibit has missing items and also things that do not work. The miniature town is very nice, and the castle that you can climb is also a big hit. The rest is mediocre. Areas with stuffed animals, dress-up cloths etc, has a dirty feel and look to them. The area around Exploration Place and the building it's self is very pretty and worth a look. It's worth a one time visit, but that's about it. Wish I could support it more, but compared to other museums I have visited, it is not that impressive.

Went here while visiting my friend we took her 3 year old daughter and 13 year old son. I have to say they have plenty to for any age level. The airplane part was exciting for the 13 year old while the tree magical tree house was fun for the little one. They could play dress up and have tea parties. Would highly recommend for family fun.

My wife and daughter and I, with a friend, went here September 7th.We arrived a little late in the day, about 2 - 3 pm, but that was enough time for our daughter. My wife was excited for the putt-putt course, but we didn't have time. Some of the crafts are too old for my daughter, but that just means that older kids have something. She was also feeling a little shy that day and didn't participate in all the things she could have. She is a water bug and liked the water-flow box with the moveable walls. Snakes and fish are also high on her list.It kept us occupied almost up to closing time at 5 pm.Wife wants me to add that the view of the river from inside is really pretty. :)We will probably go again.

Most interesting displays and very good information presentation. Great for the family and especially for the children. Many exhibits that attract the young at hart as well as the children of any age.

Don't have high expectations of a stimulating tine. The traveling exhibit about skateboarding was dry and boring for a seven year old girl. Many parts of the exhibit were out of order. Waste of time. This Museum is architecturally beautiful located on the Arkansas River, unfortunately the river had gross waste floating in it. Many of interactive parts of the exhibits related to the history of flight did not work. The restrooms were dirty. Many corporate sponsors had a part in funding portions of this museum. They would be saddened to see how many things simply don't work anymore.

Went here with my daughter and my friend and her 2 boys. The boys had a blast as did my daughter. I really enjoyed going through Exploration Place. Definitely a place to take kids to.
