Having lived closer to Moon Marbles before moving 6 years ago, perhaps we took it for granted. Now that we live 1,700 miles away, we stop every time we pass through. If you are older than 45 or 50, this place will take you back to your childhood. Oh the games!!!Not only do they make the coolest marbles in America, they sell games we all grew up with (pre digital America). Take your time browsing, reminiscing....you will leave with a smile on your face. They also have demonstrations on hand crafting marbles. Did I mention they also sell marbles!! And marble boards.

As our first trip here with kids we weren't sure what to expect but it wowed with plenty to entertain. We watched talented glass artists make marbles and explain with patience the process and love for the art! Everyone was happy and helpful. There were quality souviners for every budget and just plenty to reminisce about and enjoy. I can't wait to bring my parents here and my relatives from out of town next time we have company. It was a different kind of find that was a fun KC area attraction!

Moon Marble is really a treasure! Not only can you see marbles - and these are truly handmade *art* - being made but you can also see (and in some cases buy) all kinds of other toys and entertainments from "the good old days". It's a fantastic place for picking up gifts for kids' birthdays, stocking stuffers (for kids AND adults!), Easter basket items, etc.One tip - the parking lot is gravel/dirt and in a low spot, so when possible, try to go when it's not sloppy out. Also, be careful when leaving - the turnout is a bit blind.

We were looking for something indoor and free - this fit the bill nicely. The marble-making demo is cool - the 6 year old enjoyed it, the 4 year old was bored by it. Demos are not scheduled, but they do they them as requested Tues-Sat from 10am-3pm (approx). The front door enters into their smaller retail store and then leads into an even bigger retail store filled with the most eclectic and nostalgic toy inventory that I have ever seen. The smaller retail part has a huge variety of marbles to purchase and at a reasonable cost. We spent a total of $13 and the kids each received a tube of marbles plus a couple other small trinkets. They also hold a couple of events coming up - a marble fair in March (I think), then a kids festival as part of Bonner Springs fest in May.

Learn the history of marbles and watch a demonstration of how marbles are made. We watched a video of how marbles are mass produced and then watched an artist make a hand-made marble. The artist answers questions while creating his/her new marble. The gift shop is filled with machine made and hand-made marbles for purchase and many, many nostalgic games.

Moon marble has appeal for most members of the family. Young children will enjoy the different kinds of marbles and if they are lucky will get to visit with the makers. Adults will also enjoy a trip back in time as they remember playing with marbles as a kid. When I visited, there were old games and toys from my childhood that I had not seen anywhere else in a long time.Worth the trip.

We stopped by while spending a day in KC. This was an enjoyable shop, with a lot of unique products. We were fortunate enough to catch a marble-making demonstration in the back. It was a little hard to see, given the size of the work piece, but otherwise was informational and fun to watch. They had a wide variety of toys for sale, including a ton of retro toys available. And of course the marble selection was second to none. The teenagers with us didn't seem quite as enthusiastic, but my wife and I enjoyed it. Pre-teens would have likely been more excited about it.

This unusual sounding place is a fun summer stop for ALL ages. The store itself is loaded with Marbles. Shelves offer up, vintage style game fun. Modern games, erector sets. Gag gifts. Silliness comes in all sizes here. Enjoy the visual stimulation of some amazing glass pieces from artist all across America. Did I mention marbles. Those little glass pieces that brings smiles. Reminds some of us of a day when things were simpler. Best part of this stop was the opportunity to watch the Master Marbler ( I made that part up) craft a gorgeous marble in front of our very eyes. It is a beautiful skill. I promise you will leave this place smiling a little broader remembering great times. Or if you brought the family your kids will not soon forget the fun. Enjoy, I Did.

My first trip here, but not my last. What an awesome place. Toys, games, puzzles, mazes & MARBLES, MARBLES, MARBLES. Big ones, little ones, $800 ones. Handcrafted marbles in designs I've never dreamed of. They give free marble making demonstrations that are both funny and informative. Staff, Ellen in particular, were extremely friendly & helpful. They have rubber chickens AND sock monkeys. What more could you ask for??? Oh yeah, children love it too.

Calling Moon Marble Company a place that sells marbles is like describing the Grand Canyon as a big hole. Yes, they sell marbles, but the store has the most diverse group of toys for sale that you want and did not know existed. If you want the crap they sell at Toys R Us, don't go here. If you want to find the toys that don't need batteries, make you think, and will last a lifetime, bring your money. Bruce Breslow is the owner and the artist that makes marbles as part of a demonstration, and it is worth planning your trip to watch him transform a piece of glass into a work of art that is unique and as beautiful as the people who are watching him. He made a marble that had shades of green and sparkles like Van Gogh's Starry Night because a woman in the audience had a green shirt, and there was a picture of Van Gogh's art on the wall. It is not everyday you can see artisans create beauty before your eyes, instead of watching on TV. See Bruce and then buy a one inch work of art for $50 knowing no one else in the world has what you now own.

Awesome place! We watched a craftsman make a marble after he gave mini history about marbles. Store has lots of other things besides marbles. Great place to visit!

Make sure when you visit here, you take the time to see the demonstration on marble making. It is amazing. The store is fabulous with a huge variety of toys past and present. Make sure you pick up some hand made marbles.

On the way home from our trip out West, we decided to stop at the Moon Marble Company, which is pretty close to the Interstate and not too far out of the way. It is a fun experience. Bruce makes marbles and he will demonstrate for you. It is an art form and it is beautiful. The Moon Marble Company building is sort of a hole in the wall building and not much to look at from the outside, but inside, it is filled with toys and games from years past. It is fun to look at and remember what toys used to look like. And then there are the marbles- all shapes, sizes, and colors. Be sure to buy yourself one that matches your personality. I bought some marbles and a paperweight. This is a fun stop.

We went to the Marble company yesterday on our way back to Manhattan from the airport. My 11 year old grandson is traveling with me, and we thought he might enjoy going. We did too! He loved being able to pick out a selection of marbles from their HUGE selection (and a good price) plus, we enjoyed seeing a marble being made, and how all of that happens!

I have taken my kids several times and even as they've gotten older it's still a favorite. This time we took my parents (who are in their 80's) and it was so much fun to listen to them reminisce about the toys, games and types of marbles.
