This a great place to go and get a little exercise, and it has some great places where you can stop and watch the river. It is the best local place to hike

What a lovely area for walking along the Wabash River ... with historical markers for brief reading respites to learn about the archaeological history of the river, the treaty ground, & the railroad. Wonderful that Wabash city leaders were astute enough to develop a park here!

I take my dog walking there. Its a nice place. Clean and well keep. It has big open area of grass and a nice paved walk way.

Our family loves to picnic here on a regular basis. THis also our go to spot for practicing some catch with the kids or a little soccer b/c its so quiet here. We sled here in the winter too. The chili cook off, herb fest and tractor days are all really fun for the whole family. We also really like that the walk has been expanded now down to walk along the side of the river. Theonly drawback is that due to poor city planning the water treatment plant is close to the down town area andcan lend a certain perfume to the area. Over all very pretty and open grassy area.

Hoosiers aren't typically "walkers." They're more of a drive to the mailbox sort of people. So this creating a walking path thing is sort of new territory if you will. However, this is a nice attempt to add some sort of healthy activity to your repertoire, or a healthy respite from all the pizza king pizza and hogies you just consumed downtown. Parking is avaliable, but they do discourage driving your car on the trail.

Wabash hosts a great herb festival and a chili cook-off on this property. You can still see the remains of the old roundhouse that once sat on this site.
