Great Prime Rib dinner! Lots of friendly staff and locals to chat with. Got a great big hug from the man seating at the buffet.

nice location were just down the street you can walk along the river. There are times Rising Sun has car shows, craft shows, concerts, etc. Always get more from this casino than the others in the area, not as new but really worth the trip.

This is more like it had a great time and even won a few dollors,And I got a bite to eat and a beer the prices where not bad at all,Then spent the night there It was great the service was super.. even the room service..But was told thay may stop the room service, I guess the sign of the times.. So enjoy all..

My husband and I chose to stay at the Rising Star for our weekend getaway. I will say that the hotel is semi-clean but that is about where the good part of my experience ended. The hotel staff were the rudest people that I have ever had the displeasure to dela with. The staff at the casino were all very nice and amiable so maybe they should train the people that work at the hotel. I booked the room online, and booked it for a riverview with two breakfast buffets. When we checked in, we were not given anything in regards to our breakfast. In the morning, my husband went down and checked on what we needed to do in order to redeem our breakfast. The rude girl told him that we hadn't paid for or reserved that. They have jammers for your cell phones in the hotel and the casino alike and their wifi is sketchy at best so we were unable to show them the email that proved we had purchased it. We were still charged the full price for the breakfast buffet and the manager treated us as if we were criminals for asking why we were still being charged for the breakfast if we were not provided with it. I would definitely tell anyone to NEVER stay at this hotel unless you would like to be treated extremely badly!

I travelled to rising sun with my parents. We haven't been to the hotel for about a year. The rooms that we stayed in were clean, but dated. There were rooms nearby that we recently remodeled with bright colors. The hotel staff were dedicated employees and friendly & helpful. The buffet was average with a few gems. We arrived a bit late one day for lunch hours and we were a little disappointed. Try to go at the beginning of the timeframe for each meal. The lobby was nicely decorated for the holidays.

We traveled about 90 miles to just get away and relax . We got a room which was not the best , bed was like a brick and floor was dirty . We went to play some games and won alittle and lost a little but it was fun . Then we went to buffet to eat and it was not worth it . Food was almost cold.

Always a great time here. My husband and my getaway place. You win some, you lose some. That is why it is best to take a limited budget. It is easy to get carried away with the bells and dings and lights..it worked its charms on me. Just limit your budget and have fun.

I was very upset after traveling 50 miles oneway and paying $26.00 dollars each for a meal to find out there was not a sea food buffet ...... They should have notified the players club card members

I like this casino because it is smaller and easy to find your way around without getting lost all the time. They have many slot machines and table games to enjoy. There are a few restaurants, including a buffet, a nice gift shop and the pavilion is such a nice place. The atmosphere is good, the valet parking people are very nice but so are all of the other workers too. This is just an enjoyable place, even if the winnings aren't great!

A little smokey, but your in a casino. Lots of open machines and table games. Friendly staff, would go back

Other than Horseshoe Indiana, this is my favorite place to gamble. The $1.00 WOF machines always hit for me and I'm a very conservative gambler, only allowing myself a $100 a day limit. When my $100 is gone, I'm finished for the day. My $100 lasts me all day here, as I give a little to the machine, it pays back now and then. Most of the time I visit here, I come back with more than I took. They also aren't stingy on buffet comps.

Smaller than Hollywood, but friendlier staff. Lower table limits lower, more option to play longer.

I have to say this was definitely my first visit to a Casino and for a beginner it's great! The casino is actually on a boat on the Ohio River and has great views of the River. There is also a hotel adjacent to the casino, restaurants, and shoppes. There is plenty of parking. Everything was clean and easy to navigate. I did notice that the crowd appeared to be a little older, but mostly mixed. There is a non-smoking floor and floors for those that smoke. The service was excellent! I had alot of fun and have since returned. I won some each time and I also noticed that they are always getting in new machines and staying current! Looks like a lot of winners go to this place!

Don't like one thing about this casino! It is extra small, very cramped. Better off going to Belterra or Hollywood Casinos.
