On the surface, this museum doesn't seem like a whole lot. But actually look inside and I guarantee you'll be surprised. They present art clearly in its cultural contexts, and have made recent renovations and attempts to incorporate technology. If you haven't stopped by, I would definitely recommend a visit!

Ball State University's David Owsley Museum of Art presents an impressive section of artworks and special exhibits in a quiet, relaxed setting. The collection attempts broad representation of the fine arts and some contemporary arts. It's housed in the University's FIne Arts Building which stands on Riverside Drive, facing the University Quad. Free weekend parking can be found along the Quad, but during the week paid parking in the garage on McKinley Street (a block south of Riverside) or along RIverside about a block to the west of the Fine Arts Building. You can enter the building and access the museum from any entrance. There is no general admission charge, but some special exhibits have a fee. There is no gift shop or cafe at the museum. Plan to spend about an hour.
