I have been going to the Art since I was a kid and it has changed a little, but only for the better. The Frye boys lovingly renovated it several years ago to update the seating, restore the murals (beautiful) and put in an ice machine! Along with an updated sound system, etc. The prices are very reasonable and they get the new movies right away, not like the old days when the movie would be at the Art and then on DVD the following week. The concessions are reasonable and they pop the popcorn onsite - yummy. There are very few of these gems left and I am so glad that Hobart has one. It is a great place to see a movie.

This is a small town theatre right on the downtown main street. It's been renovated, but still has the "old time" feel. The concessions (popcorn, pop, candy) are VERY reasonable, and they've even different flavored seasoned salts (for your popcorn). Seats are very comfy w/cup holders in front of your seat. Old fashioned unicorn painting on wall. Shows are every day at 7:30 PM, and weekends at 2:30 & 7:30. $6 for nights and $4 for matinees and seniors (and I believe children). Some of the workers are not too friendly tho, esp. young man who is ticket taker. There are sometimes coupons offered for $2 off the movie. very affordable, quaint and nice venue.
