We took our kids (31 & 25) just last weekend and their 6 children to this Orchard and we had a blast. The grandkids ranged from 15 months to 7 years old. They loved everything about it, the petting zoo, the ride, the apple picking to eating popcorn and drinking the refreshing apple cider slushy. The only thing we regret is we never got around to the warm apple donuts:(, they smelled so good. We were there for a good 2 hours and stayed busy the whole time. they have a medium sized store to shop in and buy pre-picked apples, candy, honey, etc.. all in all it was a great family outing and we'll do it again every year. thanks to the orchard for making it a great experience for all of us!

of course you are correct to be concerned but what about all that anger. calm down a little bit. we locals have always loved this orchard and in recent past the family has suffered loss of parents and grandparents alike and if not mistaken the orchard almost closed at one point. they are a new generation trying to retain and maintain. if you were truly concerned in stead of venting and threatening on line why not speak to someone on the spot? why not offer to help rather than "blame". why not have a positive effect yourself ? did you offer your knowledge and experience? did you bother to ask questions at the time? sounds like not. this young generation of owners have been through a lot and are making a valid attempt at managing. they have a great future there and could have used your support rather than backstabbing. the community is behind them 100% and we want the family to know that !

i am horrified with this Orchard!!!! If you are going to use animals to draw in customers than you need to know ANIMAL HUSBANDRY. I was at your orchard today and discovered a DEAD RABBIT in your rabbit display. The NUMBER ONE ENEMY OF RABBITS IS THE HEAT!!!!! You have no shade, no constant source of fresh, cold water (a misting system would be great if no shade) and for shade you have used a METAL CULVERT. For God's sake, this is metal. And metal attracts HEAT!!!!! Get the picture. I know the dead rabbit died from heat stroke as it topped above 90 degrees. I am contacting the SPCA as I was advised local agencies would do nothing. This is animal abuse and cruelty. As having raised show rabbits for over a decade and having a degree in animal husbandry, you should be ashamed of yourselves. You have an obligation to know what you are doing and to do it correctly. Instaed of addressing the concern they have not responded and placed blame. This is a continued pattern as you can see on the facebook page where they ignore customer inquires then blame" someone" else.

We love Dougherty Orchard! We go every year. Our 10 anniversary trip to the orchard is coming up. They have amazing hot donuts & apple cider slushys. The petting zoo is really fun for the kids and it only cost $1 to get into the petting zoo! Well worth a buck. Lol can't wait to pick some delicious apples soon. If you haven't ever been you should go!

I have been several times, but the last time I went with my daughters class. They walked us through the behind the scenes things, which was very interesting. The petting zoo is very well kept, and the kids loved it!

Try the apple dumplings with ice cream or the hot apple donuts...yum. Unfortunately these are only offered weekends in season, but if we had them all the time, we'd be fatter than we already are!
