We've ridden horses during an hour-long guided tour twice now at this place & each time we had a blast! The horses are very well trained and the young female guide was sweet, patient and experienced. Trail was even, quiet, shady. Friendly people. Real farm setting. Highly recommended for all ages!

Our family of 6 went for our first-ever trail ride last weekend. Hubz and I have ridden, though not for years, the 4 'kids' are all in their 20s and for the most part have never ridden. What I noticed first is the horses are in very good shape. They didn't seem old and "pluggy" like so many trail horses are. Since we were the first ride in the morning (10am), they were fresh from the barn and we waited while they were outfitted with saddles, etc. We had a young guide, Alli, who had been there just a year but knew how to handle customers, how to get the right person on the right horse, and how to give us a good ride through the woods. We had a great time. They also have a pot-bellied pig named Hank, various cats and goats and chickens and ducks and ponies, donkey, etc. that you can visit with, for a complete farm experience.

While the scenic view and the ranch itself was excellent, the customer service, was no where to be found.

My family was in town for my husband's business trip, and I was searching for fun things to do with my 5 year old, near our hotel. I so glad I took the time to research before we got there. This ranch was so great, so family oriented, and the staff was so friendly that it made us feel like we had already known them. They didn't treat us like out of towners at all! My 5 year old loves horses, so I got her a private lesson for 1 hour, and I am so glad I did! The price was unbeatable, and the trainer was just great! The ranch itself is just so welcoming. We were able to go into the pens with the goats, and mini horses, as we pleased. Which as I said, made us feel right at home. We own a small hobby farm operation where we live, so my daughter was not shy, or scared of any of the animals. And when she told them about our farm, they were so attentive and it made forGreat conversation!! We were planning on doing a trail ride too, but our schedule got hectic and we didn't have time. However, we will definitely come back! I didn't even realize this, but there is so a good size cottage on the property that can be rented for a weekend getaway, family reunion, etc. I highly suggest taking the time to visit their website as well, it's a great website, easy to navigate through, and answers any questions you have prior to calling. I can't say enough good things about this ranch, and the staff! We cannot wait to go back in the near future!

We enjoyed our beginners' horse ride with young teens, and later came back with a 5 and 7 year old to see the goats and ponies at the free area. Nice place.

We went to the Natural Valley Ranch with a group of teens and they did a great job of making the kids feel comfortable with the horses and giving instructions as we had kids from no experience to those who had lots of experience. The Ranch is located in a beautiful setting for a fall trail ride! There are family events that go on as well. Definitely a place to check out!!

Natural Valley Ranch is a great place to go with friends, family, or anyone that enjoys the outdoors. They offer horseback riding on a few different trails, facility rentals, horse boarding in their stables, and host Family Fun Nights throughout autumn. It's a great place for kids, as they have miniature horses for them to ride (helmets provided). They're located close to Indy, so you're in a serene setting without being too far from home!
