Took the afternoon off to go ride my mountain bike on their trails. It's just a really cool place, very friendly and enjoyable. Last time we visited, we took a picnic and enjoyed the lake view and at burgers.

Walking, even in cold weather, has serious downside effects on me. A lung cancer survivor, it has been my plan to increase the length of my walks and thereby extend my air capacity. Cane Creek offers wonderful, relaxing vistas, nice tree-lined trails and of course, the Lake. You can just stroll along and see all sorts of animals having fun scampering around the park. The owners of lots of pets find the time to bring them down to the lake and around the paths. It is envigorating and fun exercise that doesn't take a lot of effort and can be very efficacious. Do not miss a chance to bring the crowded mind and/or heavy body to the Park for a nice hour or two of exercise, envigoration, and new insights into oneself.

We were trying to find a place to bring our dogs to ex and swim. Very friendly help and a pretty park with nice tree lined paths, picnic areas. Dogs are allowed in the water with a leash and I got the idea that so long as the dog and owner were behaved, the dog could be off leash.
