Cameron & Co. - you definitely must go. They are very nice, and you get the feeling that they genuinely want you to find something you will truly enjoy in their store. Helpful, friendly staff and lots of extremely cute items. The Putterboy has a nice selection of discounted items, but we definitely felt rushed by the girl who was running the store apparently alone to get out of there at 5:00, no later. La Feme ? Beautiful things, but I'm not sure who could afford these items.

There is nothing like the Village Shops at Pinehurst. I love the feel of the entire area, but the shops always house such quality items. You could park your car at any of the nearby inns and enjoy never driving anywhere. From food, spirits, and shopping to all of the outdoor experiences that are offered, there is certainly something for everyone!

Historic Pinehurst has several features to offer visitors besides some of the best golf in the country. If you are a lover of Craftsmen style architechture, there are dozens of Craftsmen homes in the historic area. For shoppers, the village is crammed with cute little shops offering not just clothing and jewelry, but wine, olive oils in an array of flavors, and soon to open cigar bar.

In case golf is not your thing, you will be pleased to learn that the little shops in Pinehurst and Southern Pines are worth a day at least. Never crowded, always friendly merchants, they are delighted to see you and are helpful but never overbearing. Like I said. Pray for rain!
