I hate that Adam moved on but the course is continuously improving. They have taken out a lot of trees, excellent greens, good practice area, great conditioning, a lot of variety, great 19th hole, new strategic cart paths, etc, etc. If they would just stop snatching up unused range balls I would give them 5 stars. There is nothing better when you arrive late than stepping onto the range and hitting a few leftovers. Shame.

Mill Creek Golf Course is a hidden gem. It sits about a mile north of the town of Mebane, about 10-15 minutes off of the interstate (I-40/I-85). Terrific staff; very friendly; very reasonable greens fees both weekday and weekend. Snack bar has burgers, dogs and sandwiches - nothing fancy. The course itself has brand new greens (as of July 2013), and can be challenging if you can't keep your ball in the short grass. Some fairways are guarded by heavy woods and underbrush, so a bad hook or splice just might be gone for good. MCGC was voted one of the best public courses in the country a few years ago, and continues to improve.

Attended a celebration of life in the clubhouse. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The food was very good and the service excellent. The gentlemen in the pro shop were very nice.

Avid golfing friends checked this out. They travel the states to play. They were not impressed. Sorry Mill Creek!

This course is a favorite with the handicap challenged golfers. It allows for good without being overly difficult. Some holes have houses that seem like they are practically in the fairway, but it plays well.
