Everything in this store is handmade by local artists -- it's even a cooperative, so you frequently get to meet the artists while you're in the store shopping. Pottery, jewelry, bath products, decor, and more. Love it.

Great Shop, handmande items locally made by women. Friendly staff and reasonable prices and underneath the hotel we stayed at. We would definitley be back.

An enjoyable stroll through this store, where the employees are super friendly. Lots of different media types, from watercolors to pottery to photography and fiber arts. Shop local when you are local!

This is a local artists' cooperative around the corner from and essentially attached to the Hampton Inn. There are handmade items of every sort, from paintings to baskets to quilted i-pad covers (which I bought) to pottery which this area is known for.

Womancraft was located elsewhere in Chapel Hill until relatively recently and when it moved, I feared I had lost one of my favourite stores in the Chapel Hill area. Always a wonderful source for cards and presents, whether painting, jewellery, scarves or nick nacks, this store is a very favourite haunt for me. Had the joy last week of meeting the artist of a painting which my son bought for me and which resides in my kitchen here in the UK - really great to meet the artist serving behind the counter. The service was fantastic as I had unfortunately broken a Tar Heel dog bowl I had bought and the lady sought out the artist who is kindly making another one especially for us! So quality, service to a terrific level and beautiful, unusual gifts - what more could I ask for? Oh let me think .... another painting perhaps?

I would know nothing about this store if my sister didn't live in Chapel Hill. I'm from Wilmington, DE. I have to go to this store every time I visit her. I find so many great things for gift giving and some great things for myself and my house. It feels more like you are going to an Arts Fesival than going to a store. Really great artisans there. I recommend that everyone visit...you'll be happy you did

This is a awesome store that is a coop of local artists and artisans. They feature affordable unique handcrafted items that are truly wonderful. There is something in the store for everyone from functional pottery, to jewelry, to stained glass, to 2 D art, to all kinds of children's items and fiber items such as purses and totes. This is a truly unique and awesome place to shop for yourself or for a special someone.
