river's rim studio and gallery

This little gallery is filled with marvelous and creative art. Teri is very friendly and welcomes visitors with a smile and if you are lucky, a demonstration of alcohol ink painting. Her work is very creative and affordable. The gallery also features the artwork of other local artists. I am very glad I stopped into the River Rim Studio.

We just popped into this beautiful quaint little gallery in Brasstown NC. Teri Jones met us with local charm and wonderful artistic talent. I expressed an interest in her Ink Alcohol art. She grabbed a small wall tile and quickly demonstrated how she paints. It was amazing art to us. She gave us her piece of art and we walked out with an inexpensive ink alcohol art painting kit. Best of all, we made a new art friend.David and Norma

Visiting the area while on vacation I stopped by the John C. Campbell Folk School and found a most interesting studio/gallery, Rivers Rim, in the little town of Brassville. The owner/artist Teri Jones is an absolute delight and her gallery has a wonderful collection of artwork and craft products from a number of very talented local artists and craftspeople. Teri herself has moved here after stints traveling the world from her birthplace on the Chesapeake Bay, the San Juan Islands and Hawaii to cruising the Atlantic from the Virgin Islands to South America and it shows in the beautiful artwork on display. She also has classes that can teach everyone something fantastic, my 6 year old Granddaughter loved her alcohol ink class. Our stop was a great surprise and delight and we will be looking forward to many more visits in the future.

Attended my first water-color painting class last night with Owner/Instructor of River's Rim, Teri Jones. I found Teri to be extremely professional (everything we needed was set up and ready to go). At the same time, Teri made the class fun and very easy going. As a result, we all ended up with unique and pretty paintings of a sunset. Planning to attend her next class in 2 weeks. If you're in the area for a few days, at least stop in and see her work. I think you'll like it. All sorts of landscapes, waterfalls and a variety of other subjects.
