When the forecast for afternoon thunderstorms turned out to be wrong, Irene was able to accommodate us at the last minute due to cancellations (due to weather concerns). She is friendly, fun, and laid back, and a pleasure to paddle with. We paddled out to a sand bar and back but after an hour or hour and a half in the boat I was thirsting for more interesting info on the wildlife and town history than she seemed to be ready to provide that afternoon. I don't regret the $45/person spent for the short excursion, but I don't think I'd go a second time.
