urban nirvana

I had a shampoo and blow dry here and was not impressed. What up market salon that is new does not have massage shampoo chairs? I was leaving for a trip and hoped that my blow dry would last for the week--how about 2 days? The only thing that seemed to really interest them was selling products, which is a pet peeve of mine. Would not go back.

Urban Nirvana is divided into two locations in Freshfields Village. I stopped inside the hair salon to buy some hair and skin care products. They have excellent product lines - Kerastase, Eau Thermale Avène, skinceuticals, etc. The girls were so knowledgable and suggested the perfect personalized products for me, without being at all pushy. The vibe of the salon was professional, friendly, and relaxed. Prices are reasonable. The other location has a big selection of candles, etc. I will definitely be going back for treatments.
