Very disappointed in this play. Not the caliber of the Civic Theater and sad to hear that the Civic Theater is taking this play to competition. The language was shocking and offensive from the start. Recommend the Civic Theater advise patrons of the content BEFORE they purchase tickets. Left at intermission.

Be prepared to laugh and cry. Three actors and a very intense play. I was in the front row and found that it would have been good to be a bit further away as there are some violent scenes in the play. Well Done.

A great production put on by a great group of people! The downstairs theatre is small and intimate. It was a great experience!

Great theater, personal atmosphere, reasonable prices and always a great variety of shows featured. Going to buy season tickets in 2015!

We enjoyed A Christmas Carol there, which featured a large cast of mixed experience and talent. Every seat has a good view of the stage. Scenery and costuming were also good. Traffic when leaving afterwards, however, can keep you waiting for a while. We enjoyed the show.

We (3 adults) saw Fiddler on the Roof. One of the classics! Great job! Amazing actors! All staff very helpful and friendly. Entire cast was great! Sound was great, no trouble hearing the words or wonderful songs. If we move close to Spokane, we will be members of this theatre for sure! would love to see more shows here.

This presentation of Fiddler on the Roof was outstanding, from the acting, directing, singing, dancing/choreography, costumes, to the music. This is community theatre at its best. The main theatre seats about 400. The seats are fairly comfortable but what really makes it is that the cast, and there were a lot of them, work for months to present the best show they can, every performance, and they commit those hundreds of hours for zero pay, only for the enjoyment of entertaining the audience.Yes, tickets are sold, but the money goes toward maintaining this crown jewel in Spokane, a small employed staff, carpentry and stage professionals, materials.Regardless of what is being presented throughout the year, you can see the best of Spokane there.

Spokane has quality stores, shops, hotels, eateries, parking, and easy access. Well worth a few days stay if you are in the area.

We have seen several productions at the Spokane Civic Theatre. They are truly the "Little Engine that Could". Most notable was a recent production of "Les Miserables". What a magnificent performance. The sets, costumes, staging, music.... it was all there. I have seen the Broadway production of this play twice, and the Spokane Civic Theatre effort was as good on many levels except for the size of the stage. There isn't a bad seat in the house here, and the size of the theatre helps to create an intimate atmosphere between the audience and the performers. Treat yourself to a night at the theatre by participating in one of Spokane's treasures, the Spokane Civic Theatre.

This is a crazy awesome venue. Quality production with the back seat being better than row g in INB. This is a fabulous and romantic place, great for date night.

We regularly go to the Civic Theaters main stage and the smaller Furth J Crew theater downstairs for plays. I have never seen a play that I thought was a waste of my time and money. Many of the plays are exceptional in acting, direction, and creative interpretation. The theaters present a wide range of entertainment. All seats are good. Spokane is very fortunate to have such a great local theater.

the Civic strives to put on great shows that draw good attendance. Although some of the actors are recycled a bit too much, there is seldom a disappointing performance. There seems to be some very good talent in Spokane.

Many people have very strong and positive memories of Civic Theater.Over the last decade there has been a strong decline in quality of the theater.Civic Theater was created specifically to bring live theater to the people of Spokane.Sadly, because of the steep increases in the basic price of tickets, more and more people are unable to afford to go to these productions. It is now impossible for a family of modest means to go to Civic Theater. In an era of increasingly tight funding sources, Less elaborate productions which can be mounted On a more modest budget should be undertaken. This is also supposed to be a "Civic Theater" where the entire community has a chance to participate in the productions. There is a disturbing tendency to see the same small core group of individuals in all the key roles. This does not develop new talent. At this time I cannot recommend Civic Theater. There are other theaters in the area who offer less elaborate productions for substantially lower ticket prices.

The wife and I have been season and/or donor members for the better part of the past two decades and are always impressed with the quality of the shows. There's a reason that our Spokane Civic Theatre has won numerous national awards. We've been to shows at other theaters with paid actors and always come running back to our Civic. Whether Main Stage or Studio shows, they're simply the best around. We've got some outstanding, local talent.

This is a great place to catch a locally produced play with some very talented actors. It's a little run-down and very old, but the atmosphere is so much fun.
