Love this park. No whales this time, but they pass by often enough, so you might see one or two or . . .

Breathtaking views. Great picnic benches. Easy trails leading to the beach. Excellent park! ferry ride and drive up to the park was worth the time and $$

This is a must see on the island. Just a little trek to a picturesque spot. Be sure to go at sunset!!

As silly a question as that is (it DOES get asked!), the resident Orca whales round this light house point more predictably than anywhere else on the islands! They are following the salmon and summer visitors reap the benefits. Sometimes they are so close you can feel like you are traveling with the pod. The center has a lovely cliff-side walk with breathtaking views and opportunities for peaceful contemplation. The lighthouse itself opens to visitors often in the summer and don't miss the Whale Sing, when the locals come and serenade the whales - and frequently the whales come and listen! Also, don't miss the equally lovely San Juan County Park, just up the road, with great views, bluffs, graceful Madrona trees and hiking.

We went here in December 2014. It was gorgeous and we were the only ones there that day. The center is closed for the season but the views of the islands and the lighthouse is just gorgeous! Lots of picnic tables to use and trails. Will visit again in the summer.

We lucked out to be there on their Xmas open house day. While waiting in line to go up the lighthouse a gentleman gave a fascinating lecture on Orcas. I must have asked the poor man at least a dozen questions and he graciously answered them all and added more information. I am so sorry I did not get his name but the talk made my whole trip. He was so knowledgeable, kind and such a great talker. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Such a beautiful place to see the ocean and explore tide pools. We weren't lucky enough to see whales this time, but it was great park to explore.

The ladies an gentlemen on hand have good information and are very helpful. They are very nice. The state park they are in also lends itself to many types of people with all kinds of disabilities. Their walking areas are easy to navigate and they have a lot of walking trails for such a small area of the island. We have seen at least 5 sighting of the whales in the 10 to 15 times we have been out there but the views alone lend themselves for you to come back again and again. The mountains in the distance the boats the quiet and the kayak tours are so interesting to watch.

was at Lime Kiln twice in a couple day trip to the island - hoped to see Orcas but alas they were nt performing those days - nice park though - you need a discover pass to use the park ( its a state park )

excellent spot to watch for whales. The interpretive information was the best we found on the local pods.

We just got a peek at the pod of Orcas that inhabit the bay. It's a beautiful park and a very nice drive to get there.

This is another place that we always take visitors. There's a lovely trail that takes you along the cliff to the lighthouse. We always start the trail to the left. Take a photo of your friends with the lighthouse in the background. There's a reason that you see it on so many postcards…..

I loved this park. Beautiful trails and you can choose your own level of hiking. The Lighthouse was lovely and a great place to watch for seals. You can sit and have a picnic while you watch for whales and other marine life. Hike into Deadman's Cove. It's very pretty and no one else was there.

We drove down and walked around. We could see fishing boats and occasional porpoises out in the water from our spot.

We went here one evening before dinner and the orca whales were swimming by. You could hear them blow - was awesome!
