If you like it wet, reliably wet, wet all time, lush forest, rushing streams, one right next to the other, this is the place to be. Around 15 feet, not inches, feet annual precipitation. Awesome.

Make sure you bring your camera. There is a plethora of waterfalls and the trees are remarkable. We started and finished at Lake Quinault Lodge. It was a three hour hike most in the forest but finished lakeside.

I've been taking my kids to the Hoh rainforest for 25 years, and we always find something new to "discover." Nurse logs are a constant source of wonder to kids of all ages - fascinating to see how the forest renews itself. The fresh air, surprising vistas around every corner, and occasional glimpses of wildlife (eagles, deer, porcupines...) keep visitors on their toes. Young kids can handle the short route (approx 1/2 mile) and the more adventurous will love the 7-mile loop that includes boardwalks over the marshy spots. There is nothing like a great nights's sleep that follows a fun trek through the rainforest!

We wanted some out door experience, even though it was raining (as is to be expected in the rain forrest). We chose the short hike of about 1.6 miles. This hike has a beautiful array of rain forrest foliage, a river and some small waterfalls.

Trails were very well marked and very informative. Many trails to choose from that varied in length, difficulty and sites. They are totally awesome.

it is wilderness, however close to the lodge and many possibilities to extend the trail or to take a short curt

Beautiful short walk has a lot of variety. Short but some steps. Big trees, ferns, moss, and mushrooms.

We had a wonderful hike through the rain forest. It is a good hike, with some hilly areas. We would go again if we go back.

I loved walking in the woods. This is a short trail but if you are looking for a longer hike there are other options to keep you going for quite a while. Last time I was here, I took a short excursion off the "Rain Forest Nature Trail" to get a better look at the Wallaby Creek. There is a nice path that goes down and across a bridge. If you keep going it ends at a crossing to a campground and you can stand on the shore of Lake Quinault and get a view of the mountains across the lake. Going back the way I came and finishing off the Rain Forest Trail, didn't take me more than 20 minutes. That is with stopping and reading all the interpretive signs and taking pictures. It is a great way to get out and stretch your legs if you are one of the many travelers on Highway 101. It is not to far off Highway 101 and it is not a long hike if you are pressed for time. There are also bathrooms at the parking area and a great map which highlights some attractions in the olympic peninsula. I would love to see that particular map in an actual printable form. Best map I've seen with lots of information on things to do and see in the area.

I live in Las Vegas and before that Los Angeles my very first time in the rainforest. It was AMAZING. The hike was beautiful and very accessible for almost anyone.

This rainforest trail is ideal for children, much shorter than ones in the Hoh rainforest. It also combines well with a walk around Lake Quinault. Very enjoyable with interpretation boards.

What a great trail, one of several that we hiked here. I took so many photos that I was glad to not still be using slide film like I was 15 years ago.
