A very nice small winery. Tasting room ambiance very nice. Decent solid wines. A good place to sip and chat.

This was our second winery of the day on Labor Day weekend. They do not have a very large sign out front - and it sneaks up on you - you may not see the entrance in time - but there is a spot to turn around.Very nice and beautiful winery inside and out. We did not purchase any of their wines however we did purchase their Wine Mustard for $8.00 it was delicious. We dipped some pretzles into the Mustard inbetween each tasting.Again very nice facility - its just the wines did not shout out at us to purchase them.Tasting Room HoursThursday to Monday 10am to 5pm

This is not just a tasting room but a winery/vineyard and tasting room. Great wines at great prices!! There is no cost for tasting and picnic spots with shade!

We went to Barrel Springs Winery during the Red Wine and Chocolate festival in 2012, and after visiting over 15 different wineries in the area that weekend, this was hands down our favorite!! The wines were absolutely incredible for the price point, and there was a nice variety of red as well as some white wines! The chocolate dessert pairings were also super tasty! The owner was very personable and told us about the winery...and of course we can't forget to mention the adorably cute Gracie - their own winery dog :) We can't wait to go back and get more wine. One piece of advise is that Barrel Springs is not yet on GoogleMaps, so when we tried to find it with the iPhone, it did not come up. So be sure to have the actual address with you and type that into the map for directions.

We found this little gem while trying to find another winery that had closed. From the road, this doesn't look exceptional, but the effort Jim Madison and Shelley Belt have put into the wine is reflected in the grounds as well. We like every wine we tasted and some show great potential. We had one member of the group who is quite particular and he had a hard time leaving. Jim was pouring the day we were there and he was very cordial about sharing his visions for the winery as well as the art work on display. Our favorites were the Syrah and the Cab.We had been advised by the staff at our B&B to bring along a picnic and Jim was kind enough to move tables into the shade so we could enjoy a quiet lunch. If there had been loungers, we probably would have spent the rest of the day here.
